ARLINGTON, TX – The entertainment center out of Arlington known as “Texas Live!” is slated to have an interesting month of June – with events allocated toward commemorating degeneracy as well as celebrations of Juneteenth.

One of the events taking place on June 12th is dubbed the “Disney Drag Brunch,” where Troy Aikman’s eatery (yes, that Troy Aikman) situated in Texas Live! will be hosting the event.

The name of the event taking place at Aikman’s restaurant pretty much reveals what the content of the event will be – drag queens seemingly engaged in Disney-themed getups and/or participating in such tropes of the brand.

At least the organizers of this event in Arlington learned a thing or two from the hot mess that was the drag show that took place in Dallas earlier in June where children were encouraged to come and participated in the Dallas drag show, as the “Disney Drag Brunch” is only admitting adults 21 or older.

The Dallas “Drag Your Kids to Pride” drag show admitting toddlers that was held at the Mr. Misster bar earlier in June – which is supposed to only host people ages 21 or older, considering it is a bonafide bar – caused quite the blowback, resulting in at least one lawmaker trying to ban the sort of grooming event from ever happening again.

Republican state Rep. Bryan Slaton announced on June 6th his intentions to file a bill in the coming Texas Legislature, scheduled to kick off in January of 2023, that would prohibit kids from attending drag shows, calling the practice an attempt at “sexualizing young children.”

“I would never take my children to a drag show and I know Speaker Dade Phelan and my Republican colleagues wouldn’t either. The events of this past weekend were horrifying and show a disturbing trend in which perverted adults are obsessed with sexualizing young children.”

Come June 15th, Aikman’s restaurant is hosting another event dubbed the “Juneteenth Mega Mixer,” which is apparently one event of many slated for Arlington’s “Juneteenth Jubilee.”

The Juneteenth event description reads, “Join us for a fun night showcasing Tarrant County business owners in celebration of Juneteenth National Independence Day! Enjoy great friends, delicious food & drinks, live music, raffles, and more! This event is open to the public and free to attend.”

Back in June of 2021, Joe Biden signed a bill declaring Juneteenth a federal holiday, which officially falls on June 19th annually. The holiday is meant to commemorate when Union soldiers brought news to Galveston, Texas, on June 19th of 1865 that the Confederacy had surrendered, thereby informing enslaved black people of their freedom.

When Biden signed the bill declaring Juneteenth a federal holiday on June 16th of 2021, he stated, “This is a day of profound weight and profound power, a day in which we remember the moral stain, the terrible toll that slavery took on the country and continues to take.”
