For several weeks, parents all over America have had the travel hours to find baby formula to feed their infants. While there have been numerous articles written about the problem that was quickly growing into a crisis, according to Joe Biden, nobody could have anticipated such a problem occurring. That might make sense if it wasn’t for all the videos being uploaded showing parents fighting, hoarding, and scrambling for whatever formula they could find. There were even reports of some families having to ration their formulas or even diluting it to make it last longer. Still, as families continue to struggle with gas prices, inflation, and now feeding their infants, President Biden claimed he didn’t know.
Discussing the baby formula shortage, as can be seen in the video below, Biden stated, “The question you always have for every single thing, ‘Why did you act sooner?’ Well, I don’t think anyone anticipated the impact of the shutdown of one facility in the Abbott facility. And it was accurately shut down because, it was, the formula was questioned in terms of its purity. And so once we learned of the extent of it, and how broad it was, we kicked everything into gear. And I think we’re on the way to being able to completely solve the problem.”
One reporter said to Biden, “I was just telling you that they understood it would have a very big impact.”
“They did, but I didn’t,” he retorted. “Today we’re announcing that United Airlines has agreed to offer cargo space for Kendal Nutricare for the delivery of 3.7 bottles in the formula here in the States.”
While 3.7 bottles doesn’t make much sense, a White House press release says that it will actually be 3.7 million eight-ounce bottles.
While the President was right about a facility being closed down due to concerns of contaminated formula, an investigation into the matter found it wasn’t the factory closed. What is more interesting is how that facility remained closed even after the investigation.
Users online weren’t buying the story that the Biden administration had no idea that the shortage would become such a major issue. “C’mon folks! 2 1/2 more years?? Really? Why? And I’m not just talking about this senile old fool. The whole Brando administration HAS TO GO NOW! Not just in November or 2024. NOW! The Republic can’t wait!”
Another person wrote, “did you ever think your baby would be held hostage by the government? It seems while the American baby cries for his formula politicians have signed documents that the border is to be supplied with formula. Somewhere in the fine print it must say above the needs of Americans cause that seems to be the case.”
And one simply put, “First time in American History that WE are receiving international aid. If that doesn’t tell you that the U.S. is done as world leader, not sure what will.”
