I like Justice Kavanaugh and I hate, Al Haig-like, to turn his last name into a verb. But that’s what we have here as an obscure woman is coming out of the woodwork accusing Elon Musk of sexual misconduct. The Space X CEO is being “Kavanaughed.” Coincidence this happens just after Musk says he will vote Republican? Not likely.

The usage has precedent. After the left torpedoed the Supreme Court nomination of the eminently qualified jurist Robert Bork in the 1980s, the operative term for going after a high court nominee was to “Bork” them.

Musk himself predicted this hatchet job mere days ago, as he tweeted that his decision to vote Republican this year would unleash the leftist hounds against him. He was right in the very immediate sense.

A stewardess from Space X claimed in 2016 that Musk exposed himself during a massage. The company paid her $250,000 to settle it, knowing that lawyer’s fees would cost a lot more than that, and Musk admitted no wrongdoing. Granted, the cash seems a little suspicious. But in this day and age of sexual McCarthyism (though Tailgunner Joe was more right than not) it was a wise investment. There was also an NDA involved. So a pal of the stewardess leaked the issue to media on Thursday. Gee, nothing politically coincidental about the timing. Nah, nothing at all.

And you’d think that after the parade of ridiculous shrews the left brought center stage during the Kavanaugh hearings, and the man’s confirmation, they’d come up with another way to punish Musk for going Republican and for buying Twitter. But the left doesn’t have a lot of arrows in its quiver. Certainly nothing sensible on policy. So they always fall back to their favorite themes of race and sex. They’ve tried both against Musk.

They at first tried to insinuate that he was a racist because he was a white man born in South Africa. When that didn’t get much traction, TA DA, some former employee crawls out from under a rock and alleges sexual misdeeds. So Kavanaugh, so absurd, so 2018.

Musk responded to the made up claim. “If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light,” he wrote, calling the story a “politically motivated hit piece.”

“The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech,” the Space X CEO said. Musk also wrote, “for the record, those wild accusations are utterly untrue.”

“But I have a challenge to this liar who claims their friend saw me ‘exposed’ – describe just one thing, anything at all (scars, tattoos, …) that isn’t known by the public,” Musk added. “She won’t be able to do so, because it never happened.”

Who do you think would win the Presidency?

So now we’ll see the left’s playbook at work once again. CNN and MSNBC shows will go after Musk as a serial semi-rapist. Capitol Hill Dems will ask for hearings and denounce him as Jack the Ripper. More women will slime their way across media to tell of fabricated sexual harassment by Musk. The real Tony Stark needs to hit back with the truth and ride it out. When the crass stupidity of the charges becomes clear the press feeding frenzy will lose credibility and momentum. Then, like Kavanaugh, Musk will win in the end. Yup, plus ca change…
