There is no denying that the Biden administration and Democrats have been working around the clock to make sure the American people, and more importantly – voters, understand that the surge in gas prices has nothing to do with President Joe Biden. Although gas had been climbing for some time, Americans were stunned when it surged over $4 a gallon. Still, the Biden administration continuously blamed it all on Russian President Vladimir Putin who waged an invasion into Ukraine. But no matter how hard the White House tries, it appears Americans aren’t buying the story being presented.

Holding a discussion panel on the growing issue, CNN anchor Abby Phillip discussed the current climate in America and who the citizens believe is to blame for the price of gas. Surprisingly, given that it is CNN, guest Hans Nichols, a reporter of Axios, said, “When inflation is where it’s at, when you see gas prices going where it’s at, we can talk about a jobs report here, we can talk about the latest PCE [personal consumption expenditures] numbers or the CPI [consumer price index], and all of us former Bloomberg reporters can really get into the weeds, right? But there’s one number that they can’t really change right now, and that is what the placard says at the local gas station.”

As can be seen in the video above, Nichols added, “Look, when I’ve passed gas stations that say ‘blame Putin’ more than they say ‘Let’s go Brandon,’ I’ll know the White House has been successful in messaging”.

What’s more shocking is host Phillip agreed with him. She said, “That is fascinating in its own right. Take a look at this Quinnipiac poll. Americans just don’t buy that this is related to the war in Ukraine, and most of it, frankly, is not. 41% say it’s Biden’s policies, just 24% say the war in Ukraine. 24% also say the oil and gas companies are raising prices. But the White House is trying to do both, blame Putin, blame the oil and gas companies, but Americans just don’t agree.”

With the approval rating continuing to dip for Biden and the midterm elections around the corner, it seems the mainstream media is moving away from the Democrats as a massive wave of red is predicted to take over D.C. and America.
