Kyiv threatened and UN action.

As much as we’d like to believe Kyiv will win, plans must be now made for the eventuality of her fall. As such, like the beginning of WWII, the Ukrainian government and its president must form an exile government. Brussels, close to NATO HQ, may be a proper locale.

President Zelenskyy heroically has remained fighting in the city. But he cannot fall with it. He must survive and continue the fight.

The world walked out on Russia at the UN, as a big Russian armored column heads for Kyiv…Belarus claims her troops have not invaded Ukraine. She is likely lying…Russian troops are at very low morale. Here is one anguished example…

The ICC has opened an investigation into Russia, further making Putin and his cronies pariahs…And Kyiv holds out another night. How long does the city have left? Here are words and events from the day…

FNC: “Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s speech to the U.N. Human Right’s Council prompted a mass-walkout.

As soon as the U.N. president turns over the floor to Lavrov, dozens of diplomats stand and leave the meeting chamber without a word.”

On Tuesday Ukraine President Zelenskyy urged the EU to permit Ukraine to join. “Our people are motivated and we are fighting for freedoms and our lives,” Zelenskyy said. “We are fighting for our survival.”

“Snow is predicted in Ukraine this week, which could impact the air operations of both Russian attackers and Ukrainian defenders, and ultimately give Ukraine a slight advantage.

Poor weather conditions typically favor the defender in respect to air operations,” said retired USAD Major Gen. David P. San Clemente.

Pompeo on lack of proper foresight. “The hard work should have been done months ago,” Pompeo said. “You know, you talk about this being a six-day war. We’ve known Vladimir Putin’s intentions for a long time. We saw him building up these forces.”

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch is supporting Ukraine. He spoke at an awards ceremony. “I can’t speak today, at this very proud moment of my life, on this extraordinary platform, without acknowledging the obvious of what is happening in Ukraine and to show my support for the people of Ukraine, and my support for the people of Russia who are opposing the kleptocracy and the idiocy of their rulers to try and halt the progression of this atrocity.”

News reports out of Kyiv say of increased explosions at government offices and the capture of dozens of Russian saboteurs in Ukrainian military uniform. Over 15,000 city residents have been given weapons and have been assigned to militia units with the specific mission of stopping Russian armor incursions. Small hunter killer squads are being formed to track down stranded and straggling Russian vehicles. Mercy is being shown to surrendering Russian troops. If the Russians fire on Ukranian troops, after a certain point, then the battle is to the finish.

Mercy should be shown to anyone captured by either side. They are not enemies but are being programmed to think they are. Unite, Russians and Ukrainians, and lop off the head of the snake that has you at each other’s throats.
