HAGERSTOWN, MD – A group of U.S.-based freedom truckers who were reportedly in Hagerstown, Maryland, are apparently not going to be making their way to D.C. with other protesters.

Said group, dubbed the “People’s Convoy” are reportedly avoiding the D.C. leg of the effort, as one woman involved in the demonstration proclaimed that there are concerns that they’ll be “framed” by the likes of Nancy Pelosi if found to be demonstrating in D.C.

“We’re not going to D.C. period, we don’t want to be framed and set up by Nancy Pelosi…I think they might do the beltway but we’re not leaving until tomorrow. Yeah, they’re not gonna go into D.C. – there might be one convoy that tries it but I know the People’s Convoy is not doing it. There’s a couple of convoys here, but I think we’re all too smart for that…we don’t want to be set up.”

Media reports have quoted Mike Landis, one of the organizer for the People’s Convoy, as saying that they’re “going to keep annoying D.C….Just make them wonder a little bit. Look, we’re truck drivers, we’re very spontaneous.”

Brian Brase, another organizer associated with the convoy, stated, “Well, we’re going to do something. What this is is yet to be determined. Please be patient.”
