Leftists in the U.S. and Canada Challenge Satire Sites as Purveyors of Parody

What do you get when you belong to a political party that behaves like a religious cult? You get words and actions that read and look as if they were ripped off from parody sites like The Onion or The Babylon Bee.

How do I know leftist leadership is behaving like a religious cult? Because they’re accusing conservatives of behaving like a religious cult. As Kurt Schlichter once wrote at Townhall, “You Can Tell What Leftists Are Doing By What They Accuse Conservatives Of Doing.”

Leftists are zealots who’ve embraced fire and brimstone, the ends literally justify the means, commandments to recreate the world in their sanctimonious image. They believe their creed is the right creed—the only creed, and they must convert you—for your own good—or else you’re doomed to a hell called freedom.

You don’t have to search for long to find examples of how radical formerly mainstream liberals have become. Two examples paint the American picture. One is the radical leftist lawyer and Hillary Clinton sycophant Marc Elias.

The fittingly named, Legal Insurrection reported Elias recently suggested contorting the 14^th Amendment to fit round Republican U.S. representatives into square “insurrectionist” holes. So, they can then be expelled from Congress and decreed ineligible to ever run for political office again (Parody? Right?).

Another example is Washington State Democrat U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal. She’s wallowing in the extreme leftist political ooze, actually celebrating the censorship of a colleague. Townhall reported Twitter has permanently banned Georgia Republican U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. The prickly, petty tyrant, Jayapal, said, the ban was “‘a little too late’ and that it’s a good thing Greene’s voice was taken ‘out of the mix.’”

Jayapal feels that everything the left espouses is “science and fact” (cotton candy and pink unicorns) and everything conservatives advocate is “misinformation” (bile and snake venom). This is how she justifies endorsing Twitter’s censorship of her duly elected conservative counterpart.

Although I loathe swampy Republicans (and Tories in Canada), though it may be by a thread, there still exists a difference between the two major political ideologies.

So, I feel confident, if the situation were reversed, Rep. Greene would never endorse censoring Rep. Jayapal. You know why? Because the situation has been reversed (many times) and MTG has not endorsed censoring PJ. And she never will.

Would it have been understandable for MTG to support censoring PJ’s comments favoring censorship? Not for true conservatives. It’s not in the conservative’s political DNA to censor. It’s obvious, in the U.S., most Democrat Party leaders and too many of their party faithful now favor cancel culture and censorship, while many (hopefully most) in the Republican Party leadership and the vast majority of the rank-and-file support liberty and free speech—for everyone.

Canada’s liberals mirror America’s Democrats (or vice versa), but I’ll let the Tories be the judge of the current status of conservatism in the Great White North. I haven’t heard good things, but the situation may be looking up (more on that below).

However, these days, Canada is barely recognizable under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s liberal tyranny, which has become a CCP virus mandate nation. An inspirational trucker convoy took to the nation’s roadways, making its way to the national capitol in Ottawa. They merely wished to peacefully express their opposition to tyrannical “vaccine” mandates that are negatively affecting their lives.

But rather than answer his people’s longing for a return to freedom, Trudeau could only lie and spit in those Canadians’ faces. Calling someone a liar seems so untoward. But, with Trudeau (and Biden) it seems so true. I watched the videos of the convoy and then listened to Trudeau spew his cruel parodies about these truly peaceful protesters.

He described the convoy participants and supporters as expressing “antisemetism [sic], Islamophobia, anti-Black [sic] racism, homophobia, and transphobia.” The Onion or The Babylon Bee says this, it’s hilarious because it’s so deceitful. The PM of Canada says it, it’s disgusting because it’s unworthy of the leader of a great nation.

Leftist critics have also accused the protesters of harassing people and stealing food from the homeless. Those accusations sounds so stupid, I can’t figure out how any parody site could create such satire when the leftists are being so self-satirical.

Apparently, this neo-oppressive Canadian government is increasing its corrupt pressure. Now, FOX News is reporting, “Canadian trucker ‘Freedom Convoy’: 2 [arrested] charged, 13 active investigations….” Could this finally be satire? I wish.

According to FOX, the AP reported, “Some demonstrators are accused of urinating on the National War Memorial. One danced on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A number carried signs and flags with swastikas….” Give me an Effing break. It’ll be interesting to see if any of these supposed “trucker supporters” are convicted.

Does the AP’s report sound remotely representative of what we’ve seen in the vast majority of the reporting that manages to reach the pubic? Why do these reports so directly reflect the fantasy the Canadian federal government is attempting to fabricate? The reports should be satire, but they’re not.

It is very likely fake news, folks. We’ve already seen where true Canadian patriots shouted down and shunned supposed “racists” (planted?) in their midst. These are likely either government agents (like the U.S. reportedly used during the January 6^th riot) or leftist Canadian radicals who support Trudeau’s tyranny. His reign is so oppressive right now, the Canadian military has warned personnel not to show support for the convoy.

Canadian MP Candace Bergen, in the House of Commons, condemned Trudeau and blasted him for slandering the trucker movement and lying about their behavior. She called on the Canadian Prime Minister to apologize to the “patriotic peace-loving” truckers and their supporters. The Post Millennial also reported, another Conservative MP, Pierre Poilievre, slammed “Trudeau for falsely claiming the trucker convoy is ‘racist.’”

On a positive note, ipolitics.ca reported that Conservatives have recently tossed out their squishy leader, Erin O’Toole, and have elected MP Bergen as the interim leader of the Conservative Party (Tories). Bergen had been the “deputy leader… under O’Toole.”

Everyone in the U.S. and Canada has learned world history while growing up and watched historical or dystopic movies about oppressive governments. Have anti-free speech and censorship governments ever been the heroes?

Think about the tyranny of Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Communist China, and the cancel culture and censorship described in Atlas Shrugged, 1984, Fahrenheit 451. Have censors and book-burners ever been on the right side of history?

Finally, remember when the United States and Canada used to be the good guys?
