There was no room for error when it came to the anniversary of the Capitol Hill riot that took place on January 6th, 2021. For the past year, the Democrats have recalled that day in fine detail as they claim it was not only an attack on democracy but the start of another Civil War. So far, no war has been started, yet hundreds of protestors have been charged for the role they played during the riot. And on top of that, during the January 6th anniversary circus, Vice President Kamala Harris compared the day to both Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

For those who might not know, around 2,400 Americans lost their lives when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. And on 9/11, that number climbed to 3,000 Americans. But still, Harris said, “Certain dates echo throughout history, including dates that instantly remind all who have lived through them — where they were and what they were doing when our democracy came under assault. Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendars, but a place in our collective memory. December 7th, 1941. September 11th, 2001. And January 6th, 2021.”

Among the many Americans who heard her words and were stunned was podcast giant, Joe Rogan. He replied to Harris’s comment, stating, “This is complete insanity. Look, Jan 6 was embarrassing; it was pathetic; it was confusing to me. ‘Cause there are parts of it that confused me—the parts where you have these clear agent provocateurs in the audience calling for people to go into the Capitol. … There’s video of cops opening up barriers. What is that? Why did they do that? Has there ever been an explanation of that?”

It wasn’t just Rogan as Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) added, “The most disgusting part of the day was  what you referenced in your monologue, where the vice president of the United States says January 6th was the equivalent to Pearl Harbor, was the equivalent to 9/11. Tell that to the granddaughter whose grandfather gave his life on D-Day. Tell that to the son whose dad was one of the firefighters who went into the tower on 9/11.”
