When George Soros buys a District Attorney he makes sure he gets his money’s worth. Since Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is making the city a dangerous place, Soros no doubt thinks it is money well spent.

FNC: While Pennsylvania’s largest city is facing a crime surge, liberal Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is facing calls for his impeachment.

The state’s Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, who’s running for governor, urged state leaders on Tuesday to begin impeachment proceedings against the progressive prosecutor.

Corman said the violence has gotten to the point where ‘you can’t turn your eyes anymore.’ He said Krasner has ‘created a culture of violence and death’ and action must be taken. Corman called for impeachment against Krasner because of the crime surge in Philadelphia, including 560 homicides in 2021. Corman wrote in his letter to lawmakers that only 21 percent of shootings in Philadelphia have led to criminal charges since 2015.”

“We have a real crisis in our city, and it’s part of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Those people who live in Philadelphia deserve protection. Those people who work in Philadelphia deserve protection,” said Corman on Wednesday. He’s a Republican who represents Pennsylvania’s 34th District. Krasner called the statement a political “stunt” that “inaccurately citing the article in the Pennsylvania Constitution outlining the House’s impeachment powers.”

“I know there is frustration with the spike in crime in Philadelphia. It is dangerous in my city right now,” commented Philadelphia lawyer Bill Brenann. “Krasner hasn’t really stepped up to the plate since he’s been in office to reduce crime,” city resident Rosalind Pichardo told radio host Carley Shimkus.

Krasner lied recently about crime in Philadelphia. “We don’t have a crisis of lawlessness, we don’t have a crisis of crime, we don’t have a crisis of violence. It’s important that we don’t let this become mushy and bleed into the notion that there is some kind of big spike in crime. There isn’t. There is not a big spike in crime. … There is not a big spike in violent crime. Neither one of these things is true.”

But the numbers call him a liar. By last December, the Philadelphia Police Department reported 521 homicides, which is a 13% increase compared to 2020 and the highest number of killings in Philadelphia since 2007. Crimes involving shooting have increased by 4.4%, and the number of people who are victims of a shooting has risen by almost 3% over the past year. Philadelphia is in the grip of a Krasner crime wave.
