Kyrsten Sinema is standing in the way of the worst of Democrat proposals and her Arizona constituents like it.

FNC: “Despite attacks from liberals over her continued support of the filibuster, many Arizonans who spoke with Fox News said Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is doing a good job representing them.

Sinema, the senior senator from Arizona, reaffirmed last week that she would buck her fellow Democrats and continue to support the Senate filibuster, which, if eliminated, would replace the 60-vote threshold required to end legislative debate with a simple majority vote.”

“I’m just pleased that she’s not going along with her Democratic Party,” one man told press. Another local said: “I think she’s going the right direction.”

“I think she’s doing pretty good,” another man told media. “She seems like she’s fighting for the people, so that’s always a good thing.” Polls show most Arizonans have a positive view of Sinema.

A vocal minority was critical of Sinema. “Like every other senator, I think they’re in the news a lot, but I don’t really see them working, really doing anything for us,” one man said. “I’m not happy with her right now,” a woman said. “I just feel like she’s got her own agenda.”

A far left member of Congress was vicious towards Sinema, which means she’s doing a very good job in Congress. “John Lewis is a hero, you [Sinema] are a traitor to his legacy, your constituents and our democracy,” said Rep. Jamaal Bowman, Democrat of New York.

Bowman wrote another tweet on Thursday, saying, “When big money takes precedence over the needs of people, it’s a problem. Sen. Sinema should stop obstructing progress and help save democracy.” He linked the tweet to a Washington Post story that said five veterans on her advisory council had quit, accusing her of being one of the “principal obstacles to progress.”

Sinema ably defended herself,  “There’s no need for me to restate my longstanding support for the 60-vote threshold to pass legislation,” Sinema said Thursday. “There’s no need for me to restate its role in protecting our country from wild reversals of federal policy. This week’s harried discussions about Senate rules are but a poor substitute for what I believe could have and should have been a thoughtful public debate at any time over the past year.”
