According to a new article written by two prominent Democrats, the 2024 presidential election might not include President Joe Biden’s name as another figure is making a resurgence into the spotlight. Although some Americans might not have noticed, in the last couple of months, one dominant Democrat has been making numerous appearances, giving interviews, speaking with the press, and it is apparently all in an effort to gain the White House. Who is this mystery person exactly? None other than former First Lady, Hillary Clinton.

That’s right, given the outcome of the 2016 election, many thought that Hillary’s time in D.C. had come to an end. It appeared to be that way as she quickly disappeared when President Donald Trump entered the White House. But now, as Biden’s approval rating just hit 33% and Vice President Kamala Harris in the same boat, the Democrats might be eyeing Hillary as their best chance in 2024.

In their article, former Manhattan Borough President Andrew Stein and political consultant Doug Schoen write, “She is already in an advantageous position to become the 2024 Democratic nominee.” They would add, “She is an experienced national figure who is younger than Mr. Biden and can offer a different approach from the disorganized and unpopular one the party is currently taking.”

Speaking with MSNBC’s Willie Geist last month, Hillary would say, “I think that it is a time for some careful thinking about what wins elections, and not just in deep-blue districts where a Democrat and a liberal Democrat, or so-called progressive Democrat, is going to win”. She would also take a swipe at the Biden administration, saying that while she is “all about vigorous debate … at the end of the day it means nothing if we don’t have a Congress that will get things done, and we don’t have a White House that we can count on to be sane and sober and stable and productive.”

Adding to the evidence Hillary might be seeking a comeback in politics, her husband and former President, Bill Clinton, told People magazine that Americans not electing her was “one of the most profound mistakes we ever made.”

As for what steps Hillary should take, the writers suggested, “Mrs. Clinton can spend the time between now and midterms doing what the Clinton administration did after the Democrats’ blowout defeat in the 1994 midterms: crafting a moderate agenda on both domestic and foreign policy. This agenda could show that Mrs. Clinton is the only credible alternative to Mr. Biden, Ms. Harris, and the entire Democratic Party establishment.”
