After losing the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump, former First Lady Hillary Clinton appeared to disappear from politics, giving limited interviews and keeping her distance from the press. But in the last few months, Hillary has made a triumphant return in D.C., speaking about her campaign and what would have happened if she had won. While it might seem Hillary is living in the past, a top advisor to former President Bill Clinton, Dick Morris, recently spoke with WABC and gave a rather interesting scenario about Hillary Clinton.

Speaking with John Catsimatidis, Morris admitted there is a good chance Hillary will run again in 2024, but it hinges on one thing. “Hillary has set up a brilliant, brilliant strategy that nobody else is able to do. What she’s done — at a point at which no Democrat is willing to come out and criticize Joe Biden, but all Democrats are disappointed with him and have to realize the ultimate correctness of our accusations that he was incompetent to be president — she has set up a zero-sum game with him.” He added, “The worse he does, the better she does because she’s positioned herself as the Democratic alternative to Biden.”

As for the one domino that keeps Hillary from announcing her run, according to Morris, it all hinges on if the Democrats lose Congress during the 2022 Midterm elections. Most polls already predict the GOP winning significant ground in the upcoming elections, but it appears Hillary wants to wait to see how it plays out, which makes sense given she was predicted to win the 2016 election.

It should be noted that Morris’s claims don’t come without evidence as in an interview with NBC’s Willie Geist, Hillary seemed to take shots at the Biden administration. “I think that it is a time for some, you know, careful thinking about what wins elections and not just in Deep Blue districts where a Democrat and a liberal Democrat or so-called progressive Democrat is going to win. I understand why people want to argue for their priorities, that’s what they believe they were elected to do. So, look, I am all about having vigorous debates. I think it’s good and it gives people a chance to be part of the process. But, at the end of the day it means nothing if we don’t have a Congress that’ll get things done and we don’t have a White House that we can count on to be sane and sober and stable and productive.”

Morris backed up Hillary’s comments, stating, “Hillary can say ‘go to hell, I don’t care about you guys. I’m going to be the anti-Christ, I’m going to run against you.’ Therefore, she’s the only one between now and the end of the midterm elections who’s prepared to say what the truth is.”
