Biden came out swinging over the weekend, but thank God for the Republicans he is making the same mistake Hillary Clinton made in 2016. He is focusing not on issues, but on Donald Trump.

It looks like con man cowardice on Biden’s part, as the country wants to hear about bare shelves and inflation, not some childish and fear mongering attack on a former president. This way the Democrats will not only guarantee a Republican landslide, but will put wind in the Trump sails. Why would they do this for Trump? Because the Democrats want to run against him. If they do, and their current performance continues, they will lose.

The speech seemed to be a turning point for the president, who during much of his first year in the White House has directly avoided targeting his predecessor in office. But on Thursday, without using Trump’s name, the president accused him of inciting the mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 in hopes of disrupting congressional certification of Biden’s Electoral College victory in the 2020 election.”

“We must be absolutely clear about what is true and what is a lie. And here is the truth: The former president of the United States of America has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election.

“He’s done so because he values power over principle, because he sees his own interests as more important than his country’s interests and America’s interests, and because his bruised ego matters more to him than our democracy or our Constitution,” Biden argued.

Biden said that Trump’s “done what no president in American history…has ever, ever done: He refused to accept the results of an election and the will of the American people.” And what did the Democrats do in 2000 for a month? What did Democrats say about Trump in 2016 and 2017? Bloody hypocrisy.

Saying that Trump’s “a defeated former president,” Biden said Trump was “trying to rewrite history.” Biden promised to “defend this nation. And I will allow no one to place a dagger at the throat of our democracy.” Oh please. This hyperbole has become comic. Did Joe care when Antifa and Black Lives Matter were running roughshod over law enforcement on our streets? Not a jot. Does he care about the real dagger, socialism? Nope.
