Looking for free speech or truth in sports commentary? Don’t go to NBC. They just toe any leftist racist line that comes along. If somebody won’t play ball and speaks an obvious truth they’ll be sacked. Just ask Michele Tafoya. She got that and had enough. She quit. Good for her.

FNC: “Michele Tafoya will no longer be the sideline reporter for NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ after this season, according to a report.

NBC’s coverage of the upcoming Super Bowl in February is expected to be her final appearance on the sideline for the network, the New York Post reported. Her role afterward remained unclear. The apparent decision comes several weeks after Tafoya was criticized for making comments about former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick during an appearance on ABC’s ‘The View.’ ”

NBC tried to brush off the whole thing. Nobody was buying it. “Michele will be back on the sidelines this weekend. As we have done repeatedly, we’re again giving our announcers bye weeks in 2021, and we plan to do it well into the future. Michele’s off weeks – which were determined prior to the season — were all in cold-weather cities after Thanksgiving, and her final weekend off this season comes on Jan. 2 in Green Bay.  Any other speculation about her time off is blatantly false.”

“She was in the conservative seat,” Bill Simmons said about Tafoya’s “View” appearance, “Then a couple weeks later, all of a sudden, just on a bye [from NBC]. Taking a break.” Not exactly a coincidence. What got Tafoya in hot water at NBC? She dared to speak the truth about Colin Kaepernick, the NFL, and the racism both engage in.

When host Sunny Hostin compared NFL players to slaves, Tafoya responded. “No one pressures them,” she said. “They’re not forced to go into the NFL.” Amazing, that complete idiocy on Hostin’s part. Slaves? Slaves making multimillions? Just wow.

Later, Tafoya added, “I thought comparing it to the slave trade was a little rough. … These guys enter willingly. They are the most well-cared-for people. Yes, they play a hard sport, and every one of them – Black, White, Latino, whoever’s playing the sport – will tell you how much they love it and they’re willing to do it and they make a damn good living.” Hostin then said that most NFL owners are white and most players are black. How does that have anything to do with it? If an owner is black, are his white players his slaves, multimillionaire slaves? Does Hostin even understand the concept of slavery? Guess what genius? Slaves aren’t paid.

Hostin then lamely argued that Kaepernick “lost everything” by taking a stand. Tafoya factually punched back by noting that Kaepernick had “gained a lot” since leaving football, including a Netflix show and a massive deal with Nike. That kind of truth is not tolerated at NBC.
