Loon Who Torched Fox Xmas Tree Walks, New Tree Went Up Thursday Afternoon

Ah, the warmth of Christmas.

You’d think some self-respecting MSNBC fan would have lit the Fox Christmas tree on fire on general principle. But alas, the firebug was just a run of the mill loon, not a baying Marxist who hoped to dance naked around the tree to some bizarre hippie melody.

Because of De Blasio’s “We (heart) Criminals” New York way of governing, the space cadet arsonist is already back on the streets. Maybe someone should tell him about the Santa’s Workshop over at CNN.

FNC: “The man accused of torching a Christmas tree outside the New York City headquarters of Fox News was freed Wednesday night without bail — shortly after prosecutors reduced the number of charges against him from seven to three.

Tamanaha, 49, was arraigned on one count each of felony second-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor second-degree reckless endangerment and misdemeanor fifth-degree arson. New York criminal justice reforms enacted in January 2020 bar judges from setting bail on these charges. Criminal defense lawyer Mark Bederow told Fox News that Tamanaha would have had to be charged with third-degree arson as a hate crime for the case to be bail eligible. Tamanaha, who is homeless, faces a maximum of two to seven years in prison if convicted of the top count. He’s due back in court Jan. 4.”

Are you embarrassed that Joe Biden is our "president"?

“I have been thinking about lighting the tree on fire all day long,” Craig Tamanaha allegedly told police after he torched the artificial tree festooned with red, white, and blue doodads and positioned in front of FNC HQ.

“I didn’t do it,” Tamanaha told journos, before barking obscenities at them. “The moms that want to rape their f—-king daughter’s — they set it on fire,” Tamanaha shouted. Then asked reporters for a cigarette. Just your garden variety New Yorker. Freelance photographer Jeenah Moon also told Fox News that Tamanaha “was acting weird and pulled down his pants.” Always nice as an encore.

NBC: “NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said Wednesday that Tamanaha is known to the department and has a series of low-level out-of-state arrests, possibly from cases stemming out of Texas, and drug-related offenses. He is also believed to be homeless.”

“He was issued earlier this year some appearance tickets and didn’t come back to court, which is something we see all too often,” Shea said. “I think it’s one where he’s working alone. It’s all very fresh. It’s probably a little preliminary to say what the motivation was. Was mental illness a factor?” Gee, ya think?

“We have planned for a new tree to be rebuilt and installed by Thursday afternoon as a sign of resilience and hope in the face of a horrible act,” said Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott. Good for Fox. But what are they going to do with all those chestnuts?

Ever wonder why crime is on the rise, just look at letting the guy who supposedly did this go and he’s skipped bail and been a no show before. Doesn’t take a genius to figure it out, the criminal element certainly has.
