What if a former big name reporter suggested only a white person get an anchor job, as opposed to any other person of another race. Justifiably, you’d never hear the end of it. Well, it happened. Just switch the vicious bigotry from race to gender. But in today’s America that’s okay, as long as the hatred meets a PC standard.
Women should definitely be strongly considered. @AnaCabrera @KateBolduan @thelauracoates etc. But in the end, I want the most qualified person for the position. Whether it's a man or woman.

FNC: “Former CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin asked her previous employer to consider a new female primetime host in an Instagram video on Sunday while addressing the termination of scandal-ridden host Chris Cuomo.”
“Just like so many of you I saw the news on Saturday about a sudden change in CNN primetime, and I have no comment on that decision,” Baldwin said on Sunday. “But just as someone, as a woman who worked there for over a decade who has the utmost respect for my former colleagues, I just wanted to share something with you today, and that is when I saw the news pop onto my phone, I did something I hadn’t done since I left that place. I went back and I rewatched my parting words on my last newscast back in April.
“The most influential anchors on our network, the highest-paid, are men. My bosses, my executives, are men. The person who oversees CNN day side is a man, and my executive producer for 10 years is a man. So I’ve been surrounded by a lot of men,” Baldwin said.
“What’s happening now creates this opportunity, which is exactly what I was talking about. And so, I’ll say it. I would like to see CNN put a woman in that 9 p.m. spot. Not me, I’ve moved on, but there are plenty of brilliant woman they could choose from. The way we change the game for us is to put more women, brown, Black, White women in positions of power,” she added. “And yes, of course, we need more seats at the table, but we also need to build a better, more inclusive table. And CNN primetime has been dominated by male hosts, and y’all, it’s nearly 2022. Wouldn’t you like to see a woman successfully lead in primetime?” No. As the tweet above says, in any job, qualifications matter. All else is irrelevant.

Perhaps Brooke Baldwin should consider a couple of things.
1. Back in the day when CNN used to at least pretend to be a journalistic organization they had Lynn Russell and Rudi Bakhtiar. Both of them did a decent job. Has she forgotten about them? Or were they just not liberal enough to suit her?
2. Unless she’s a complete and total hypocrite- which in my opinion all Liberals are- she should want equality. That should mean that if you’re the most qualified person for the job then you get it regardless of your sex. Or any other conditions for that matter. The point is can you do the job better than someone else? If you can then you’re hired.
3. She might want to be careful what she wishes for. The same woman that she thinks is so great might be the same woman who turns around and stabs her in the back just to keep her job.
What should scare the living crap out of us is the 4% who believe that Dementia Joe isn’t a problem.
So, the CNN audience in prime time is about 1% of Tucker and Hannity and she wants to take it down to zero? I’m all for it.
Well, I’m sick of racist, bigoted “TALK SHOW” hosts. I much prefer real JOURNALISTS, but they seem to be far and few between.
