Biden Bumbling Much Worse Than January 6th

Biden's incompetence tops a nasty riot by morons.

The actor Gene Kelly, playing my hero the writer and editor H.L. Mencken (the character is named E.J. Hornbeck), in the brilliant 1960 film Inherit the Wind, says this to the fiancée of the defendant in a Scopes-like evolution trial.

“I do hateful things for which people love me, and I do loveable things for which they hate me. I’m admired for my detestability. Now don’t worry, little Eva. I may be rancid butter, but I’m on your side of the bread.” I sometimes feel that way in regards to my readers, as a cursory review of comments on my articles seems to elicit, depending on the day and subject, equal loathing from all sides of the political spectrum.

This makes me think I’m doing my job, though like Hornbeck’s butter, I’m a conservative. Which brings me to today’s offense towards two factions of modern day American politics, the populists and the Left.

Watching the debacle of the Biden administration unfold it seems to me that Biden’s myriad mistakes more than eclipse the Capitol capering of assorted knuckle dragging misfits on January 6th of this year.

Now don’t get me wrong. The Trump provocation of the riot was loathsome, as the now former president knew exactly what he was doing. He wanted to stir up the crowd of jug blowing IHOP monkeys to mischief, yet stop just short of calling for mayhem so he could later claim a sort of general innocence. He achieved that, though his weak and half-hearted message of restraint to the crowd after the riot had started gave proof to his essential culpability.

And what was really done? The Capitol was roughed up a bit by slobbering fools, quarterwits, and hayseeds without one functioning brain between them. But it wasn’t an insurrection, as the assembled imbeciles were not armed nor showed any inclination of overthrowing the government. Our Republic was never under any serious threat. Tragically, people were killed. However that certainly wasn’t the aim of the rioting simpletons. They just wanted some downhome fun. The joint was cleaned up soon after they left. The same cannot be said of Afghanistan.

As much of a blot on the American copybook as January 6th was, it is a puny little day’s affair compared to but one of the Biden administration’s failures. In Afghanistan more than a dozen American troops died and our international reputation was cut into shreds by a ragtag militia we dispatched with speedy fury twenty years ago.

Are you embarrassed that Joe Biden is our "president"?

This goes along with the Biden DOJ war on parents, the new energy crisis, inflation, fuel prices, Russian and Chinese diplomatic aggression that could turn lethal very quickly, the Iranians breaking the nuclear treaty, and the border crisis as matters, even taken one by one, that far outweigh anything that happened on January 6th. So the next time some leftist tries to tell you how we were on the brink of a coup on that day, remind them of the record of the Biden administration and its far greater negative effect on the nation than one riot, albeit a riot conducted by cretinous populists who aren’t worthy to step one toe into the hallowed halls of Daniel Webster, Henry Clay, and yup, wait for it…Mitch McConnell.

In fact, Trump should have known “the enemy” would be in there making hay and causing as much chaos as possible. The death by a capitol police officer – played out the way things go these days. One can commit any sort of political crime if it is against the Conservative bloc of Americans and pay absolutely no consequences – so far, at least, none!! But the shoe on the other foot – well the way the FBI and all others have handled that January 6 debacle, at most an embarrassment, is proof that it is exactly the opposite with behemoth penalties for the conservative. Be that as it may, though it is completely baffling and leaves me horror stricken, I don’t see what we the little people can do to change that except to vote. However, I am smart enough to see that if we survive the Joe Biden, Kamala administration it will be evidence of devine intervention – LITERALLY! One would think there were, at least, some Democrats (other than Manchin and Sinema) who are Americans first and democrats second who would see the destruction and dig in their heels for the USA!! SOME???

I have a correction: military veteran Ashley Babbitt was the only one killed, and she by the gun of that Capitol building cop. So, again, “quarter wits” and “hayseeds”? Or zealous patriots who really wanted to take a “peaceful and patriot” (per Trump) stand? I’ll take a public apology, thanks.
