According to reports, the Round Rock Independent School District in Texas is arresting parents at their homes who dare to speak out against the school board’s policies at school board meetings – utilizing their very own police force to accomplish this concerning practice to effectively punish wrong-think.

Christopher Rufo wrote in the City Journal earlier in November about how the proverbial “battle lines are clear” regarding the war waged by “the Biden administration, public school bureaucrats, and their armed agents” against parents critical of CRT-laden curriculums, school closures, and mask mandates imposed on their children.

Rufo added that “Public school officials have demonstrated a willingness to use police power to silence and intimidate their opponents” citing the arrests of two local parents that were orchestrated by the Round Rock School Board.

Jeremy Story and Dustin Clark are two local fathers who have spoken out against the alleged corruption of the school board and the antagonism of school administrators against parents.

Story, a minister, was interrupted mid-sentence during a school board meeting in August while presenting evidence that the board had covered up an alleged attack by the superintendent, Hafedh Azaiez, on a mistress. Azaiez reportedly had Story removed from the premises by officers.

During the following school board meeting, Clark – a retired Army captain – sought to speak during the meeting with other local parents but found themselves locked out of the room where the school board meeting was taking place.

While parents were asking the school board to open up the room so public comments could be shared, school board president Amy Weir ordered officers to remove Clark from school grounds. While Clark was being removed from the property, he reportedly called the school board members communists and demanded that they should “let the public in.”

But this wasn’t the end of the controversy regarding Story and Clark – as they’d find themselves being visited by police days later and arrested. The Round Rock Independent School District has their very own police force, reportedly consisting of patrol units, school resource officers, a detective, and a K-9 unit.

The school district sent officers to Clark and Story’s homes and had them arrested under charges of disorderly conduct with intent to disrupt a meeting, where the two local fathers were jailed overnight and released the following day.

It’s a rather unsettling development, in that the Round Rock School Board is using the guise of “disorderly conduct” to in effect criminalize criticism of the school board’s actions – putting parents in jail for voicing or simply trying to voice their displeasure with the school board.
