With the Republicans already taking major wins away from the Democrats in New Jersey and Virginia, it is common knowledge around Washington that the GOP is slated to gain a great deal of power in the 2022 midterm elections. While focusing on the midterms is a crucial point for the Republicans, some within the party are already looking further ahead to 2024. Among the party, names like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott have been top names. And don’t dare leave out former President Donald Trump. But while the RNC is set to be a spectacular event, one unlikely name that is starting to circulate as a potential bid is none other than Representative Liz Cheney.

Although the number of Republicans eyeing the presidency in 2024 is sure to be many, the potential for Liz Cheney running on the Republican ticket is a bit absurd. During the Trump administration, there were 10 Republicans that joined forces with the Democrats to impeach Trump not once but twice. Cheney was one of those ten.

While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, what is even more shocking about Cheney running is the fact that CNN dedicated an entire segment to it. The video below, which is full of discussions, debates, and possibilities, promotes the idea of Cheney running for President.

The idea might sit well with some Democrats, but for Senator Ted Cruz, he saw it another way when the Lead CNN tweeted on Thursday, “Is there a lane for Liz Cheney in New Hampshire in 2024?”

Responding with a simple, short, and sweet sentence, Cruz replied, “Yes. It’s called the Democratic primary.”
