FNC: “More than 150 migrants, including Albanians and more than a dozen Romanians, illegally crossed the border into America on Saturday morning. According to Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin, who was on the scene as border patrol agents worked to gather the migrants that crossed, the group, which included multiple minors, entered a spot in La Joya, Texas, after making the journey across the Rio Grande. Melugin reported that the ‘main chunk’ of migrants who entered illegally Saturday morning were from South America, but noted that migrants from an array of areas were also included in the group.”

“As you can see from our drone, once they cross the Rio Grande, they walk paths around the incomplete border wall,” Melugin stated.

Another issue is the catch and release policy of this administration. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said, regarding secret Biden administration flights that dump illegal immigrants in major cities in the middle of the night, “This is going to affect the entire nation because these people are moved around secretly overnight on planes and busses. Some of them have COVID. Some of them are drug runners. They are potentially criminals. They could be terrorists. We don’t know. We just know that they’re being moved all over the country. And we also know we aren’t able to keep track of them.”

In related news, human traffickers are smuggling people across the Rio Grande and into Texas. Says FNC’s Melugin, “The operation was conducted Tuesday night. The raft was full of single adult illegal immigrants. Per @TxDPS, one of them was Jose Rafael Ramos Portillo of El Salvador, a previously deported felon for sexual assault. Texas Rangers will seek extra charges on him for resisting arrest. The smuggler guiding the raft was a 17-year-old from Mexico who has been arrested twice before for human smuggling, per @TxDPS. I’m told he fought with troopers when they moved to apprehend him. He will be charged w/ assault on a public servant, resisting, & human smuggling.”

The Texas Department of Public Safety comments, “At the direction of Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Texas Military Department are committed to securing the Texas border. As part of Operation Lone Star (OLS), Texas DPS continues to enforce all state violations of law including, but not limited to, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, smuggling and human trafficking,” DPS said in a statement.

“As illegal immigrants continue to surge the Texas-Mexico border and criminal organizations continue to exploit the current border crisis, Texas DPS and Texas National Guard are taking action in combating human smugglers and deterring mass migration, and stand ready to protect the people and property of the state of Texas.”
