Over the weekend, family and friends of Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt gathered together to celebrate what would have been her 36th birthday. But due to the events that happened on January 6th at Capitol Hill, Babbitt was shot and killed while protesting the 2020 election results. Often referred to as a riot, many protesters were seen making their way into the Capitol building as police officers stood by. But as Babbitt and other protesters descended into the building, she was ultimately shot by an officer and died. Although there have been numerous conflicting reports, Babbitt was the only person to die at Capitol Hill on that day. And while the Democrats try to forget her name, former President Donald Trump sent a personalized message to her family, expressing his sadness for their loss.
In the video below, Trump remembered the life Babbitt had and the patriot she was. “To Ashli’s family and friends, please know that her memory will live on in our hearts for all time. Ashli served our country in the United States Air Force for 14 years, where she was a security forces airman and eventually went on to achieve the rank of senior airman. She defended our nation overseas including in Iraq to fight in the war on terror.”

Trump added, “On that horrible day of January 6, Ashli arrived at the United States Capitol. She was shot and tragically killed. Today would’ve been her birthday. Happy birthday, Ashli.”
It should be noted that for several months, the Democrats wouldn’t release the identity of the officer who shot Babbitt, claiming they were trying to protect him. Eventually, the officer’s name, Michael Byrd, was released to the public, but it was only when the U.S. Capitol Police internal investigation cleared him of any wrongdoing.
While the investigation might have found Byrd innocent, Trump had a different opinion, saying, “There was no reason Ashli should’ve lost her life that day. We must all demand justice for Ashli and her family. So on this solemn occasion as we celebrate her life, we renew our call for a fair and nonpartisan investigation into the death of Ashli Babbitt. I offer my unwavering support to Ashli’s family and call on the Department of Justice to reopen its investigation into her death on Jan. 6.”

Pres Trump………what an AMAZING man. Even when not in the WH (yet) he still does far more presidential things for we-the-people than that demented bumbling old man will ever do. Miss Babbitt was murdered for not reason and the killer was let go. There was no reason for it and her family needs our support to get thru this. Thank you Pres Trump. Please come back ASAP!!

The investigation, itself, should be investigated. We all know that any investigation by the Capital Police was going to exonerate the shooter. Byrd should be coughing up blood from a guilty conscience. That man is clearly not meant to be a law enforcer. He cannot even contain himself. At a minimum, Byrd should be stripped of his job, his pension, and especially—for our collective safety—his gun. God bless you, Ashli. For being a true American and patriot. I pray there will one day be a statue of you in the Capitol.

Nothing can now bring Ashli back to her loving Family. But we CAN and MUST continue to DEMAND Justice for Ashli Babbitt – Her MURDER by Capitol Police person Michael Byrd absolutely MUST be properly assessed in an impartial Court of Law – He MUST STAND TRIAL – the COVER-UP is an offence against the very idea of Justice in America.
