New York City was once the heartbeat of America. There wasn’t a person in the world that didn’t want to visit the big apple and see where all the countries converged. But now that it is a Democratic stronghold, apparently, the crime rate has soared as the left continues to support the “defund the police” movement.
Recently, residents of New York City spoke with Fox News about the current problems the city is facing, and no matter who they asked, their answer was always the same – crime. One resident even claimed the city was nothing more than “the wild, wild West.”
Speaking with reporters, Gabriel, who is a lifelong New Yorker working near Time Square, said, “The city has regressed the past eight years under the mayor.” Referring to Mayor Bill de Blasio, Gabriel added, “Crime in the subways, old women getting robbed … homicide going up, people getting shot, shootings are up, killings are up, and he’s aloof – he’s walking in Prospect Park, enjoying his daily stroll or going to YMCA.”
Another lifelong New Yorker named Chris didn’t shy away from who is causing the problems in the city. “Liberals. Liberals are killing this city, absolutely killing it. It’s a disgrace. The wild, wild West.”
Just in September 2021, the crime in New York City rose by 3%. Not to mention, robberies increased by 6%. This news comes after a New Jersey nurse was killed near Times Square last week when a mugger shoved her to the ground, cracking her skull.
Brittany, who was born and raised in the city, admitted, “It is dangerous out here, even if you’re from here. I’m even scared to have my phone in my back pocket, I’m even scared to have my bag open.”
Even Spider-Man himself seemed to be worried. Well, maybe not the real Spider-Man, but an impersonator named Jay said, “A lot of people are acting out and not necessarily knowing why they’re acting out.”

Definitely NOT TRUE. In the wild westt the good guys could have guns too
It’s MUCH worse today than the “Wild, Wild West”–very rarely did innocent private citizens get killed; usually the deaths were among gun-slinging combatants. In our world, the innocent are as likely to be killed as the guilty.
