While both political parties constantly struggle for power in Washington, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis broke his usual conservative stance to announce on Monday that his wife, Casey, is battling breast cancer. And although the support for the family is pouring in, liberals saw the vulnerable moment as a time to bash DeSantis and his family.

Making the announcement public, Gov. DeSantis said, “I am saddened to report that Florida’s esteemed First Lady and my beloved wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer. As the mother of three young children, Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as First Lady.” He added, “As she faces the most difficult test of her life, she will not only have my unwavering support but the support of our entire family, as well as the prayers and well wishes from Floridians across our state. Casey is a true fighter, and she will never, never, never give up.”

Although the family is asking for positivity, liberals answered the Governor’s comments with a flood of hate and truly vile comments.

With CNN tweeting the news, “Casey DeSantis, the wife of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, has been diagnosed with breast cancer, the governor announced Monday,” the comments, fueled by liberals, said things like, “Pity there isn’t a breast cancer vaccine, but I’m sure it would have rejected and ridiculed by these science deniers anyway. Can’t feel bad for someone sick who discourages others from being safe.”

Another user wrote, “Waiting for DeSantis to ban chemo and radiation and then put her on ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine.”

One user took the time to make it about the pandemic, tweeting, “They’re going to be wishing that more people were vaccinated as soon as she starts treatment.”

But while the liberals view conservatives as something other than people, the DeSantis family received a lot of love from their own party. Senator Ted Cruz tweeted, “Heidi and I are praying for Casey DeSantis and the entire DeSantis family today. May God’s healing hand be upon you. My Mom is a breast cancer survivor. Cancer sucks. You can beat it!”
