Kiss frontman Gene Simmons spoke out this week to slam anti-vaxxers telling them to “get over” themselves and “stop being selfish.”

“Get over yourself,” Simmons, 72, said, according to The New York Post. “We’re not concerned if you agree with it or not. We’re concerned about you making us sick. So get your goddamn COVID shot and protect other people from getting your stuff.”

“Look, before [they] go to school, you have to have your children get the flu vaccine and the polio vaccine, and there’s no discussion,” he added.

Not stopping there, Simmons proceeded to say that he has no use for people who believe that vaccine mandates violate human rights.

“Well, you don’t have as many rights as you think,” Simmons said. “When you get up to a red light, you must stop. There’s no choice. It’s because it’s not about you — it’s about the other innocent people going by.”

Simmons then said that the United Kingdom “should” mandate vaccines.

“Shut up, be respectful of other people and get a vaccine … Stop being selfish,” he concluded.

This is far from the first time that Simmons has voiced his support for vaccines.

“Should there be a mandate, which means a law, that you must get vaccinated?” he said back in August. “Yes, there should be.”

“The idea that somebody says ‘it’s my body and my choice’ is so idiotic,” he added. “It is not your choice, it is not your body when you come to a red light in your car. You don’t have the right to go through it just ’cause you feel like it and ‘don’t tell me what to do.’ And here’s why: because the rest of the world goes on green and stops on red. Just ’cause you feel it’s your right doesn’t give you the right.”

“You don’t have the right to speak on a cell phone in your car, you don’t have the right to not put on a seat belt — you don’t have that right,” Simmons continued. “You actually do not have the right to stand up in a movie theater and yell ‘fire’ just because you think it’s freedom of speech. You don’t have that right. That’s called incitement to riot. There are all sorts of rights you don’t have.”

Simmons made similar comments weeks before that, saying, “My druthers would be that everybody is mandated to get vaccines. I hope everybody is going to be wearing their masks [at the shows], but we can only control what we can control and different states and different countries have different rules.”
