Just a few weeks ago, DC comics made a huge announcement that Superman’s son, Jonathan, who is the new Superman, would be bisexual. Jonathan, like his father, would fall in love with a reporter, but this time – that reporter was male. The announcement immediately drew backlash from fans and even Superman actor Dean Cain, who said the comic was merely pandering for views. But while Superman himself might not be a fan, it appears the hits just keep on coming as DC recently changed everything Superman stood for.
For any person that reads the comics, it is common knowledge that Superman stands for three things, “truth, justice, and the American way.” That’s right, like Captain America, Superman was a patriot. But thanks to the narrative being pushed by the Democrats that patriots are radical domestic terrorists, being a patriot is now bad. Which brought DC Comics to announce that Superman would no longer stand for the American way but now stands for “truth, justice, and a better tomorrow.”
Speaking on the matter, Jim Lee, the chief creative officer at DC, talked about the decision during the virtual DC FanDome event.” To better reflect the storylines that we are telling across DC and to honor Superman’s incredible legacy over 80 years of building a better world, Superman’s motto is evolving. Superman has long been a symbol of hope who inspires people, and it is that optimism and hope that powers him forward with this new mission statement.”
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time publishers have come after Superman’s character. In the 2006 Superman Returns, fictional character Perry White for the Daily Planet asked, “Does he still stand for truth, justice, all that other stuff?” Even co-screenwriter Dan Harris told The Hollywood Reporter, “He’s an international superhero.”
In the 900th issue of the comic in 2011, Superman himself renounced his American citizenship. “I’m tired of having my actions construed as instruments of US policy. ‘Truth, Justice and the American Way’ it’s not enough anymore. The world’s too small. Too connected.”
With Superman going under so many changes, it appears that even the man of steel isn’t immune to woke culture.

“Truth, justice, and a better tomorrow.”? Superman is now a fake news anchor signing off. Why don’t they just have him say “Courage” like corrupt Dan Rather.
