Jared Polis, the Democrat governor of Colorado, is telling to children to lie to their parents and get vaccinated against COVID-19 without their consent.

This week, Polis encouraged Americans everywhere to get the vaccine “privately” if they have to, without telling their families what they are doing. While he initially encouraged people to lie to their spouses, he seemed to indicate that children should secretly get the shot as well when he brought up the idea of a “parent you live with who doesn’t want to get” vaccinated.

“It’s important to emphasize this is your decision,” Polis said, according to CBS Local. “You can still privately get vaccinated without your parent or spouse knowing if that keeps the harmony in your family and you’re protecting yourself. It doesn’t mean you have to share that with those you live with.”

It’s highly disturbing that a lawmaker is encouraging children to lie to their parents and get a shot despite the fact that nobody knows how the vaccine will affect young people moving forward. Despite this, Polis has long been a proponent of getting children vaccinated. Back in August, at the start of the school year, Polis called for young people to get vaccinated, and for them to wear masks in the classroom.

“A new school year is quickly approaching and it’s critical that our students, teachers, and staff have a safe and enjoyable year in the classroom,” Polis said at the time, according to Colorado.gov. “Every day, more and more students and adults are getting vaccinated, but until the vaccine is available to everyone 12 and younger, we must continue to be vigilant and protect our youngest Coloradans from this virus.”

“Vaccines for those who are eligible, along with mask-wearing, regular testing, stay home when sick, effective quarantines and ventilation are key ways to slow and stop the spread of COVID,” he added. “If you are eligible to get the vaccine, I encourage you not to wait another day, get the lifesaving, free vaccine as soon as you can.”

Last month, Polis called on the FDA to expedite the approval process for children ages 5-11 to get the shot.

“If the vaccine is found effective and safe for children aged 5-11, as it already is for everyone aged 12 and above, the FDA should move forward right away with approval,” he said, according to Colorado News Online.

It’s sad to see that Democrats are willing to endanger children just to fuel their own pro-vaccine agenda.
