The Biden administration doesn’t want to admit it, but by President Joe Biden practically forcing employers to mandate the vaccine, workers around the country have decided to strike or just quit. First, it was healthcare workers. The same people the Democrats deemed heroes a few months ago. Now, they are radicals. Then airline pilots decided to fight against the vaccine mandate, causing numerous days of blackouts and canceled flights. And while the Democrats might be hoping the worst is over, the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers (SMART) just announced it disagrees with the vaccine mandate as well.

While businesses and unions have already started fighting against the vaccine mandate, SMART is massively different given that the union consists of service technicians, bus operators, engineers, metal workers, conductors, sign workers, welders, production employees, and a whole lot more. For those who might not know, SMART represents over 203,000 members. So when SMART disagrees with a decision – the government tends to listen.

For those keeping track, as it stands, there are currently three unions at the Union Pacific Railroad that are verbally objecting to Biden’s vaccine mandate.

A spokeswoman for Union Pacific, Robynn Tysver, said, “This action is necessary to prevent any disruption of the national rail network and to avoid any impact on America’s supply chain, as it continues to recover from the pandemic. We continue to work with our employees and their union representatives as we comply with the law. We look forward to the court’s help in that effort.”

Union Pacific announced last week that it would adhere to the vaccine mandate and required all employees and contractors to get vaccinated before December 8th.

With more unions stepping forward and fighting the mandate, the Biden administration is getting a glimpse of what happens when the government overreaches on the American people.
