When it comes to the Biden administration, they might not be the best at dealing with the Southern border, COVID-19, or Afghanistan, but they are absolute experts acting as if nothing is wrong. With President Joe Biden being in office for ten months, the White House has had more than enough experience spinning the narrative to make sure Biden doesn’t appear to be incapable of holding office. Just on Thursday, the Biden administration blocked a delegation of House lawmakers from inspecting the U.S.-run military facility that is housing thousands of afghan evacuees hoping to be relocated to America. And before you believe the delegation was chalked full of GOP members, it was actually bipartisan.

Representative Darrel Issa for California, one of the delegation members said the group included House Foreign Affairs Committee members. Yet, the White House still denied them access to Camp As Sayliyah.

Speaking to reporters, Issa said officials “never let us meet with the 2,300 remaining America-bound refugees, maybe some of whom are American citizens and others who are green card holders. We think the number one classified piece that they were protecting is called embarrassment. Many of these people have stories of the difficulty getting out, the lack of cooperation or help by the State Department, and now they find themselves being artificially held longer in some cases. We think it’s just that they don’t want people telling their stories.”

The interest in visiting the facility came with lawmakers were informed more than 20 percent, around 12,000 individuals who arrived in Doha were brought to the United States with no paperwork, visas, or identification. 

Issa added, “They came with nothing. No Afghan I.D., no I.D. of any sort. Those people were all forwarded on to the U.S., and that’s quite an admission. So many people had no I.D. whatsoever and yet find themselves in the United States today based on what they said.”

While Issa didn’t say anything more, his spokesman Jonathan Wilcox told outlets, “You know what they’re hiding? The latest Afghanistan disaster from the Biden administration. The White House is turning the page and closing the door.”
