While President Joe Biden has passed the responsibilities of Afghanistan on to his Secretary of State, it appears he is completely focused on what he believes is the biggest threat America is facing – the unvaccinated. Just last week, the Biden Administration expressed interest in mandating the vaccine for all businesses that have over 100 employees. Claiming the only way to beat the COVID-19 pandemic is to get the vaccine, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy inquired as to why Biden’s new vaccine mandate doesn’t include migrants at the Southern border.

With President Biden too busy visiting golf courses, Press Secretary Jen Psaki was left to answer questions surrounding the new vaccine mandate. That’s when Doocy asked, “Why is it that you’re trying to require anybody with a job or anybody who goes to school to get the COVID-19 vaccine, but you’re not requiring that of migrants that continue walking across the southern border into the country?” 

As is the usual rhetoric around the Biden Administration, Psaki immediately went into the diversion mode, trying her best not to directly answer the question. “Well, look, our objective is to get as many people vaccinated across the country as humanly possible. And so the President’s announcement yesterday was an effort to empower businesses, to give businesses the tools to protect their workforces. That’s exactly what we did. But certainly, we want everybody to get vaccinated. And more people who are vaccinated, whether they are migrants or whether they are workers, protects more people in the United States.”

Trying to get a simple answer as to why migrants were excluded from the mandate, Doocy asked again, “But it’s a requirement for people at a business with more than 100 people, but it’s not a requirement for migrants at the southern border. Why?”

And as if Psaki didn’t even hear the question in the first place, she answered, “That’s correct.” Before Doocy could follow up his question and get some type of answer, he was silenced when Psaki called on another reporter. The whole exchange can be seen below.
