Joe Biden and Anthony Blinken are telling America they don’t care about what happened in Afghanistan. That’s why they turn their backs from questions and thus from the American people. When Biden deigns to take a question he lies or pathetically blames Trump.
When Blinken answers a question he outright lies as well, as when both he and Biden said the State Department would help stranded Americans right before the State Department…left the country. And there is Joe Biden’s pledge not to leave any American behind. A lie that now could put us in a hostage situation. These are cowardly incompetent men. They both deserve to lose their jobs.
FNC: “Secretary of State Antony Blinken was criticized on Monday for not taking questions from reporters following his speech commemorating the military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
During his address, Blinken touted the ending of troop presence in Afghanistan following 20 years of war. He expressed optimism in pursuing a diplomatic path with the Taliban as the terror group has taken control of the country. The secretary of state did acknowledge, however, that a ‘small number of Americans- under 200’ are still in Afghanistan and want to leave. At the conclusion of his speech, several reporters attempted to shout their questions at Blinken, who ignored them as he walked away from the podium.”
“You gotta answer reporter questions after a speech and a moment like this,” CNN anchor Jim Sciutto reacted.

“How perfect. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, after confirming hundreds of Americans have been left behind in Afghanistan, turns and walks away. No questions,” said Townhall.com editor and Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich. Washington Post reporter Dan Lamothe hit Blinken for offering “one-way communication with the American people” following his “long speech.”
NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck slammed the nation’s top diplomat as “weak,” saying, “Turning your back and walking away — the symbol of defeat for this administration.”
“Blinken takes no question after 15 min remark delayed over an hour. Guess he doesn’t want to keep the Hamptons waiting much longer,” The Floridian reporter Mona Salama noted. “Wow no questions for Blinken. The plane back to the Hamptons must be waiting,” GOP ace Matt Whitlock similarly quipped. “Blinken took no questions. Nothing to see here, everyone move along,” political satirist Tim Young tweeted.
“If we can work with a new Afghan government in a way that helped secure those interests… and in a way that brings greater stability to the country and region and protects the gains of the past two decades, we will do it,” Blinken said earlier Monday. He is delusional. He is hoping the Nazis don’t hurt the Jews of Poland. Why? Well, just because.
Retired Marine Corps bomb technician Johnny Joey Jones didn’t think much of those words. “I don’t trust politicians or trust this type of diplomacy any further than can I throw it – and a guy with no legs can’t throw real far,” said Jones, a double-amputee. “I will tell you I believe in the men and women I served with I believe in the pureness of our intent: And when the secretary of state stands up there and tells me that the people who killed my brothers and took my legs can earn our trust? Well, thank God this is television news and not just a casual conversation because I would have words for him nobody wants to hear.”
