A photo is going viral this week showing a woman hanging out of the passenger window of her car holding an AK-47.

“During an illegal exhibition of speed event at Barneveld & McKinnon, a passenger leaned out of a Cadi holding an AK47; see photo. SFPD Traffic Company personnel worked up a case, and seized this particular vehicle today,” tweeted the San Francisco Police Department.

Police found the Cadillac and towed it on Wednesday, according to Fox News.

This comes after a major uptick in shootings in San Francisco during the first six months of 2021. The city has had 119 shootings, both fatal and non-fatal, during the first six months of 2021 compared to just 58 last year.

“We’re almost double where we were in the last two years, and that is a huge concern,” Police Chief Bill Scott said last month. He went on to say that robberies were down in the city despite multiple viral videos showing people brazenly shoplifting from stores in the city.

“Videos drive perception,” Scott added, according to The Associated Press. “When you see people getting robbed, when we see elderly victims in our city getting robbed, and those videos go viral, you think, ‘Oh, my goodness. Things are out of control.’”

Scott said last month that the San Francisco Police Department is short 400 officers.

“This not a one-year thing,” he said, according to SF Gate. “The mayor did all she could to keep us from getting smaller… Recruitment is very hard right now.”

San Francisco Mayor London Breed also addressed the viral videos that are coming out of San Francisco.

“Those videos are not just going viral in San Francisco, they’re going viral all over the world,” Breed told reporters. “But what’s not going viral… is the fact that in almost every single instance our police department have arrested many of the people in these particular crimes.”

There is a shortage of police officers all over the country right now in the wake of the left’s defund the police movement.
