For months, the Democrats and President Joe Biden have pushed the COVID-19 vaccine on the American people. From crazy incentives to claiming the unvaccinated are to blame for recent surges, the left believes the only way to fight against the virus is to get a vaccine that many health experts aren’t even sure about. But while the left might believe the unvaccinated are the reason for the uptick in cases, new data coming out of California suggests the complete opposite as areas with high vaccination rates are experiencing more outbreaks of COVID-19 than areas with low vaccinations.

According to KOVR-TV, “Statewide data analyzed by the Bay Area News Group found five counties, Los Angeles, San Diego, Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco, have both a higher percentage of people who are fully vaccinated than the state average and a higher average daily case rate. Compare that to these five counties: Modoc, Glenn, Lassen, Del Norte, and San Benito, which have below-average vaccination rates and decreasing case rates.”
Although the data is clearly showing that the COVID-19 vaccine isn’t the miracle drug the Democrats want it to be, some health experts insist the data doesn’t prove that the vaccine doesn’t work. Dr. Stephen Luby, an infectious disease expert at Stanford University, claimed, “There are a number of issues that contribute to transmission. In high-density urban settings, for example, even with a higher level of vaccine coverage, there can still be a lot of exposure to unvaccinated folks and potentially to folks who are vaccinated but are asymptomatically shedding the Delta variant.”

Another expert, Dr. Kristen Bibbins-Domingo, an epidemiology professor at the University of San Francisco, added that the COVID-19 vaccine isn’t an unbreakable shield against the virus. It is great at bolstering the immune system, but the virus can still breakthrough. She added, “The best, most waterproof raincoat is protective, but not when it’s storming outside or you’re in the middle of a hurricane.”
So while data and science are showing that the vaccine isn’t the cure for COVID-19 and still makes people vulnerable, it makes one wonder – why are the Democrats pushing the vaccine so hard?
