With numerous NFL teams already in training camps, fans are anxiously awaiting for the season to officially kick-off. While there is still sometime before the first game, the organization is already having a tough time when it comes to its vaccination rule. Released on Thursday, the NFL memo reported that it will hold players accountable for any outbreaks that happen to unvaccinated teammates. And while the NFL continues to appease the left, it appears their own players are taking a stand for their right to decide if they get the vaccine or not.

After the announcement by the NFL, wide receiver and three-time All-Pro, DeAndre Hopkins, went to Twitter to express his disdain for the new rule.  “Never thought I would say this, but being put in a position to hurt my team because I don’t want to partake in the vaccine is making me question my future in the @NFL.” Surprisingly, the tweet was soon deleted and replaced with a single word, “Freedom?”

Super Bowl champs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back, Leonard Fournette also posted a tweet about the vaccine. “Vaccine, I can not do it ……” And again, it wasn’t long before it was also deleted. But Fournette clarified his feelings about the vaccine during training camp on Sunday. “I just don’t know too much about [the vaccine]. I’m going to talk to [team doctors], and just see what’s the best decision, for myself and for the team.” He also stated that if he decides not to get the vaccine, he would be more than willing to undergo COVID-19 protocols.

While many NFL players are expressing doubts about the vaccine, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott declined to answer if he has received the vaccine or not. “I don’t necessarily think that’s exactly important. I think that’s HIPAA. I understand everybody’s opinion, and I think everybody has that right. We wouldn’t live in this country and we wouldn’t be in the position we’re in if that wasn’t the case. Obviously, we all have to do a better job of educating ourselves, of educating our neighbors just on this whole pandemic, this whole situation, the vaccine.”

Lastly, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey dropped a bombshell when he revealed two vaccinated people who are currently COVID-19 positive. “The NFL is pressuring/ ‘influencing’ guys to get the vaccine. They are saying if there is an outbreak, the team will be penalized heavily. My point is no teammate of mine will feel that pressure from me.” He added, “2 people right now who got the vaccine but are covid positive.”
