According to an OH Insights poll released on Monday, the majority of Arizona Republicans believe the Arizona State Senate’s forensic election audit of Maricopa County will show that former President Donald Trump won the state’s 2020 election, not Vice President Joe Biden.

When presented the statement, “Evidence has been uncovered which shows that the election was stolen from President Trump in a number of states that the media and election officials have called for Joe Biden,” 61% of Republican registered voters agreed.

In comparison, only 15% of Democratic registered voters in the state agreed with that statement, while 24% of Independent registered voters did.

Participants were also asked “After the [Maricopa County] audit is completed, who do you believe will have received more votes in the 2020 presidential election, in Arizona?

The results showed 62% of Republicans saying Donald Trump, only 21% of Republicans chose Joe Biden, with 16% undecided.

Only 25% of Independents said Donald Trump, while 54% said Joe Biden and 21% said they didn’t know.

Democrats responded almost unanimously: 89 percent chose Joe Biden, 2% chose Donald Trump, and 8% were undecided.

Since Fox News called it for Joe Biden on election night the 2020 presidential election results in Arizona have been contentious.

While a final report from the business conducting the audit is not expected until next month at the earliest, the audit’s mere existence has been the target of repeated criticisms from established media sources and Democrats since its beginning.
