Biden Thanks Fox News For Encouraging Vaccines
Biden said he had a plan to vaccinate Americans against COVID-19, and showed gratitude towards Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for urging people to get vaccinated.
The president also praised certain “Fax” (Fox) News personalities for encouraging people to get vaccinated.
“I have to compliment Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, he hasn’t made it political, he encouraged people to get vaccinated and is continuing to do so and his state [Kentucky] is in pretty good shape,” Biden said.
Biden continued, “Alabama Republican governor, Kay Ivey, recently spoke out encouraging vaccination and even the commentators on Fax (Fox News) who have been belittling us for a long time, some haven’t but many have, are arguing ‘get vaccinated.’”
Fox News’ Sean Hannity asked Americans to “get vaccinated” and “take COVID seriously” on his program on July 20.
“It absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated,” Hannity said. “I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination.”

Fox News’ Hannity, Doocy, And Siegel All Encourage Vaccines
“Enough people have died. We don’t need any more deaths.”
Hannity added, “Research like crazy, talk to your doctor, your doctors, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current medical condition, and you and your doctor make a very important decision for your own safety.”
“Take it seriously,” Hannity emphasized.
Could not load the poll.“Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy claimed that the overwhelming majority of COVID-related deaths were among those unvaccinated and said getting shots could save their lives.
The Hill reported Doocy saying during his program on July 19, “Ninety-nine percent of the people who died have not been vaccinated. What they are trying to do is make sure that all of the people who have not been vaccinated get vaccinated.”
“If you have the chance, get the shot, it will save your life,” Doocy said.
Fox News Medical Contributor Marc Siegel touted the vaccine’s effectiveness against the delta variant.
“The vaccine works extremely well even against the delta variant, preventing the infection in 90 percent of cases,” Siegel said.
