Castro Valley, CA – A young Amazon delivery driver, Itzel Ramirez, 21, savagely attacked an elderly woman. Ramirez reportedly told the woman to ‘check her White Privilege’ before she began punching her at least ten time in the face and head.
According to authorities, the 67 year old woman, who’s name has not been released, came to the entrance of the building after receiving a notification that her package had arrived. It was at that point that she saw Ramirez with her Amazon Delivery Driver vest on but she didn’t see her package so she asked the driver about it, and Ramirez said she would get it soon.
About 15 minutes later, the victim again asked Ramirez about her package. This is when an argument ensued then escalated into a pummeling of an elderly woman. The victim called 911 to report the incident and Ramirez was later arrested. Ramirez is being held on $100,000 bail on suspicion of battery causing serious bodily injury and elder abuse.
