On Monday, former President Donald Trump blasted news anchor Chris Wallace, saying the Fox News personality was “‘almost’ Radical Left.”

Trump made his comments in a statement from his office.

“Why does Fox News keep Chris Wallace?” Trump asked.

“His ratings are terrible, he’s ‘almost’ Radical Left, he was acknowledged to have failed badly as a Presidential debate moderator (except for Biden who he totally protected!), and so much else,” Trump said in his statement on Monday.

Trump added, “Usually, these are not the qualities of a long-term stay.”

Trump Not A Fan Of Wallace

Criticizing Wallace is nothing new for Trump.

The then-president tweeted in April 2020, Trump said, “Just watched Mike Wallace wannabe, Chris Wallace, on @FoxNews. I am now convinced that he is even worse than Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd of Meet the Press(please!), or the people over at Deface the Nation.”

He finished, “What the hell is happening to @FoxNews. It’s a whole new ballgame over there!”

Wallace Recently Confronted Former Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski

On Sunday, Wallace asked former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski if Trump has “been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August.”

This story was first promoted by the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman, who didn’t give any sources for her claim about Trump’s comments.

“I have never had a conversation about him being reinstated … I know of no provision under the Constitution that allows that to occur,” Lewandowski answered.

Trump Says Wallace Is Negatively Affecting Fox News’ Ratings

Just last week, Trump blamed Fox News’ rating decline on Wallace during an interview with Newsmax’s Dick Morris.

Morris asked Trump why he believed some conservatives have quit watching Fox News.

“It’s because of Chris Wallace,” Trump said on May 29.

“He was disastrous,” Trump added. “It was your basic disaster and he’s just a very negative guy and the people don’t want to hear that.”

“That’s why they tune out,” the former president insisted.
