Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing a tough choice. Upset America, his most important ally and military supplier, or protect Israel from Hamas and Iranian aggression. Specifically, the threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon if the Biden administration allies with Iran over Israel on the Iranian nuke deal. In the final analysis Netanyahu must protect Israel from existential threats and must therefore risk American anger to do it. The many antisemites and Israel haters in the Democrat Party will use Netanyahu’s resolve to try and cut off military aid to the Jewish state.

Netanyahu is also facing an internal political crisis and may be ousted soon by a parliamentary revolt or a rebellion in his own Likud party.

FNC: “Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu said he is willing to risk ‘friction’ with the U.S. to prevent Iran from going nuclear if it moves forward with reinstating the Iran nuclear deal. The now-contested leader, coming off an 11-day war with Hamas, said a nuclear Iran remains the biggest threat to Israel. Netanyahu’s remarks come as the U.S. has been participating in talks to reinstate the 2015 deal, a campaign promise of President Biden, in Vienna, Austria. The Jewish state leader has been a vocal opponent of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which relieves Iran of sanctions in exchange for perceived curbs on nuclear activity.”

“If we have to choose – I hope it doesn’t happen – between friction with our great friend the United States and eliminating the existential threat – eliminating the existential threat” wins, Netanyahu said.

“I’ve told this to my friend for 40 years, Joe Biden, and I said to him, ‘With or without a deal, we will continue to do everything in our power to thwart the armament of Iran with nuclear weapons,'” Netanyahu said. “I can tell you that I hope that the United States will not go back to the old JCPOA because we believe that that deal paves the way for Iran to have an arsenal of nuclear weapons with international legitimacy,” Netanyahu recently said. He is not backing off. Even if Joe Biden and the Democrats pitch a fit. Thank God for Bibi Netanyahu.
