Crazed Chicago Mayor Calls Racism A Public Health Emergency

They've learned from COVID.

Using public health as an easy rationale to enact idiotic measures, racist and loony Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot blames racism for the fact blacks live shorter lives in Chicago than whites, etc. Nope. We all know the actual answer. It is to be found in crime statistics. Chicago blacks have a lower life expectancy than others because they are shooting themselves to death. Not whites, not cops, not racism, not public health. Chicago blacks are killing each other and their mayor would rather let the deadly bloodshed go on than squarely address the issue. Her lack of mental balance and her adherence to racist Democrat nostrums are murdering black Americans as surely as did the Klu Klux Klan.

FNC: “Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot declared racism a public health emergency Thursday, pointing to systematic racism as a leading factor in life expectancy discrepancies across the city. Joined by the Chicago Department of Public Health, Lightfoot said there is a 9.2-year life expectancy gap between Black and non-Black Chicagoans.”

She garbled out this lunacy on Thursday. “At almost every single point in our city’s history, racism has taken a devastating toll on the health and well-being of our residents of color – especially those who are Black,” Lightfoot said in a statement. “Without formally acknowledging this detrimental impact, we will never be able to move forward as a city and fully provide our communities with the resources they need to live happy and healthy lives.” Lightfoot said the city would be launching a “will to act” policy that will concentrate on addressing “other forms of financial and housing segregation and discrimination.”

Another race hustler also had comment. “The launch of the Healthy Chicago Equity Zones is an extension of the racial and health equity work implemented by community leaders, public health entities, city government, and health institutions,” said Ayesha Jaco, executive director of West Side United, a community-based initiative for Chicago’s western neighborhoods. But wait, there’s more!

“COVID-19 brought to the surface these inequities in our city and our society, but they’ve always been there, and they’ve always been a focus of the work we do at CDPH,” health commissioner Allison Arwady said Thursday.

Lightfoot further termed the info a “stark reminder of the legacy of unacceptable inequities” that continue to affect black Chicagoans. Uh huh. Seems like there are no inequities in guns or murders. Seems like black Chicagoans have a lot of both, much more than their white counterparts. I guess, in some facets, affirmative action does work.

Lightfoot: “Cities individually cannot tackle this problem on its own. We just cannot. In Chicago, we’ve done absolutely everything possible and we need help from the federal government because this is a national problem.” This balderdash brought comment from Tucker Carlson.

“It’s a national problem, the gun problem. Is it really? Chicago has long had some of the strictest gun control in the nation. Montana has virtually none. Who’s got a higher murder rate? This entire conversation is nonsense. Lori Lightfoot has no idea what she’s talking about, and in fact, she’s not very interested. As long as her own security detail shows up on time, Lightfoot doesn’t think much about crime. What she thinks about is radical social change…”
