Pinal County, Arizona Sheriff Mark Lamb went on Fox News on Wednesday to rip into Vice President Kamala Harris for the handling of the border crisis that remains ongoing at this time, saying that she’s shown that she is “not the right person for the job.”

“Do you know why [Vice President Kamala Harris] wouldn’t go to the border?” asked host Brian Kilmeade.

“We’re as confused obviously as she was after that question,” Lamb replied. “This is our vice president, who says to Lester [Holt] ‘I don’t even know what you’re asking here.’ Listen Kamala, if you don’t know what he’s asking, you’re definitely not the right person for the job. She keeps proving time and time again why she’s not the right person for the job.”

“This isn’t an important issue for her, that’s why she’s not coming down, and we are left only to believe that this is exactly what they want,” he added. “They want this chaos that is coming into this country. That’s why the refuse to address it, her in particular. It’s not a laughing matter. Shame on her.”

This came one day after Harris was called out for not visiting the border by NBC anchor Lester Holt.

“Do you have plans to visit the border?” Holt asked, to which Harris responded, “We’ve been to the border. We’ve been to the border.”

“You haven’t been to the border,” Holt corrected her.

“And I haven’t been to Europe,” Harris said with a laugh. “I don’t understand the point you’re making.”

Rep. John Katko, the top Republican on the House Committee on Homeland Security and recently led a delegation of members to tour the Texas border, spoke out on Tuesday to say that it is “incomprehensible” that Harris has chosen to deal with the border concerns from afar.

“I can tell you, from a prosecutor standpoint, there is no substitute for going to the scene of the crime,” Katko told The New York Post. “There’s just no substitute for going and seeing for yourself what’s going on at the border.”
