Former President Trump recently asked his supporters to not give any money to veteran Republican strategist Karl Rove due to his criticisms of the last GOP president.

Trump said in a statement issued by his political action committee, Save America. “Everyone is so tired of watching Karl Rove on Fox News.”

“He has played the game for decades, but all he and his buddies want to do is take your money and run,” Trump said.

Trump On Rove: ‘He’s Totally Ineffective’

Trump continued, “He’s totally ineffective and does not represent the MAGA Movement in any way, shape, or form.”

“He called me on the evening of November 3rd, Election Night, to congratulate me on my ‘great win,’ Trump said. “When it was revealed the election was rigged and stolen, he flew the coop.”

What Trump might have been referring to regarding the political strategist wasn’t immediately clear, since Trump did not win.

Recently, Rove did organize a donor retreat in Texas. That event featured a number of potential 2024 Republican presidential candidates.

Trump did not attend Rove’s event.

Rove Wrote Op-ed Blaming Trump For Losing Georgia Senate Seats

Criticizing Rove is also not new for Trump.

Trump hammered Rove earlier this year after the strategist wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal in which he blamed Trump for Republicans losing two Senate runoff elections in Georgia.

Rove said that he believed Trump’s rhetoric about the 2020 election supposedly being stolen, as the former president has repeated many times, harmed the GOP’s chances in the Peach State.

Trump: ‘Karl Rove Has Been Losing For Years, Except For Himself’

Rove wrote, “Mr. Trump lost those Georgia seats by making his campaign appearances there not about the need for checks and balances on the incoming Biden administration, but instead about his rage over losing the presidential election.”

Trump asked Fox News to fire Rove over the op-ed and was dismissive of the George W. Bush administration alumni.

Trump slammed Rove as a “RINO” or “Republican in name only.”

The former president said in a statement at the time, “Karl Rove has been losing for years, except for himself.”
