Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News personality Sean Hannity, insisted he is “very seriously” considering a run for the White House in 2024.

The comments mark the most significant declaration of the former President’s intentions to date.

Early on in the interview, Trump noted how he received roughly “12 million” more votes in 2020 than he did when he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Hannity then asked him what he planned to do in 2024.

“I say this, I am looking at it very seriously, beyond seriously,” said Trump. “From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet – it’s a little too soon.”

Trump Seriously Considering Run In 2024

Trump cited several reasons why he would consider another run in 2024, most of which referenced several successes he had during his administration that have been reversed by President Biden.

“There’s more popularity (for Trump) now than there was the day before the election because they see how bad things are at the border,” he claimed.

A poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research indicates a majority of Americans disapprove of President Biden’s handling of the ongoing crisis at the border.

“They see what’s going on,” the former President analyzed.

“They see that their guns are going to be gone, their Second Amendment. Their taxes are going up. Regulations are going through the roof. Jobs are going to go out,” Trump continued.

“The jobs are going to be gone. Your energy independence is going to be gone,” he warned.

Trump ‘Wants To Help People’

Donald Trump explained that he planned to assist Republican candidates in 2022 and that the thing he misses most about being President is “helping people.”

“I miss the most helping people because I can directly help people,” Trump said. “That’s why I did it. Hey, look, this has been a very traumatic — I had a great life, great company, great business, no problems.”

As for 2022, he said, “If they need a rally, we’ll do a rally. We’ll do calls. We’ll do all sorts of things. No, no, we’re all in.”

Running in 2024 still has the potential to cause a rift in the Republican Party.

Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney said that if Trump became the 2024 Republican Party nominee, she would not support him.

Nikki Haley, Ambassador to the United Nations under Trump, has said she would support him if he ran in 2024.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, according to a recent report in The Hill, is seeking to bury “his running feud with President Trump.”

He has indicated he would “absolutely” back Trump in 2024 should he win the Republican Party nomination.

Other Republican hopefuls for 2024 – including former Vice President Mike Pence, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, to name a few – have met, or intend to meet, with the Republican Study Committee (RSC), considered to be the “conservative” caucus in the Republican House conference.
