Even while the Republicans revamp their image ahead of the 2022 midterms, the party can’t help but hold its breath, wanting to know if the powerhouse that is Donald Trump will be returning for a 2024 presidential run. Over the past months, Trump has teased about the idea of him running again after the upset that was the 2020 election. But even as the American people want to know, Trump has been incredibly quiet on the matter, only relinquishing small snippets on his future plans.

While Trump might be a master when it comes to timing, the former President appeared excited about the upcoming election while sitting down for an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity. Known for his tough stance, Hannity made sure the interview didn’t end without discussing the possibility of a MAGA return.

Not one to shy away from a question, Trump didn’t divulge too much information about the future, but he did say that his team is “Looking at it very seriously. Beyond seriously. From a legal standpoint, I don’t really want to talk about it yet, it’s a little too soon.”

Although a little unorthodox for Trump to not want to talk about a future campaign, his silence may be due to current laws that he must abide by if he was to announce a presidential run. Not to mention, Trump is currently being investigated in New York and Georgia. With both cases looming over his head, the former President might be waiting till the smoke clears.

It should be noted that while Trump future is uncertain, he did continue to show his loyalty to the Republican party when Hannity asked, “Should anybody that wants to run for the House or the Senate — should they take this ‘Make America Great’ agenda and fight for those things that you fought for the four years you were president?”

Trump responded, “If they want to win, yes. We’ve expanded the Republican Party. If you want to win, and win big, you have to do that. You have to do it.” He also didn’t stop there as he insisted that he would be lending his services to the GOP during the midterms. Trump’s hope is to energize the party and help grow its ranks ahead of the presidential election because no matter who runs – the Republicans must take back the White House and restore order.
