A brave civil servant in a small city in Minnesota was fired by his mayor for doing his job. He was merely asking that a city employee, Officer Kim Potter, be given what is due every American citizen, due process. Official Potter is charged with second degree manslaughter in the Daunte Wright case.
From Magna Carta to the US Constitution, due process has been an integral part of the rights of free citizens. Now an American city government disposes of it like yesterday’s refuse. Welcome to modern America.
Once again, we remind you of this film clip. It says so much about this country right now.
FNC: “Brooklyn Center City Manager Curt Boganey was fired on Monday evening, hours after he publicly disagreed with Mayor Mike Elliott’s assertion that the police officer who fatally shot a Black man in the Minneapolis suburb should be immediately fired in response to the incident. During a virtual workshop after the meeting, Council Member Kris Lawrence-Anderson said she voted to fire Boganey out of fear of potential reprisals from protestors if she did not, according to the newspaper.” Let that one sink one. This woman only voted to fire Boganey because she is afraid of the mob. Such a profile in courage.
“He was doing a great job. I respect him dearly,” Lawrence-Anderson said. “I didn’t want repercussions at a personal level.” But she voted for them anyway, out of fear. What was the city manager’s grave sin. He wanted to obey the law. He wanted to give Potter fair treatment. He lost his job because of it.
“All employees working for the city of Brooklyn Center are entitled to due process with respect to discipline,” Boganey said. “This employee will receive due process and that’s really all that I can say today.” When asked on whether he felt Potter should be fired, Boganey again called for due process.
“If I were to answer that question, I’d be contradicting what I said a moment ago — which is to say that all employees are entitled to due process and after that due process, discipline will be determined. If I were to say anything else, I would actually be contradicting the idea of due process.” This was the voice of a competent and brave professional. The race hustler mayor had a response.
“Effective immediately our city manager has been relieved of his duties, and the deputy city manager will be assuming his duties moving forward,” Elliott wrote on Twitter.
Effective immediately our city manager has been relieved of his duties, and the deputy city manager will be assuming his duties moving forward. I will continue to work my hardest to ensure good leadership at all levels of our city government.

The mayor put mob politics over due process and didn’t even make an effort to cover it up. Elliott knows in America today that’s fine, as long as you belong to a left wing protected class. Due process is a pillar of freedom. It fell in Minnesota. It will not stop there.
