While what you are about to read may be shocking and alarming to some, the Democrats want you to know that there is in no way a crisis at the Southern Border. Even after the President himself used the word crisis, the Democrats continue to reject the notion and even pressured the White House into taking back Biden’s statement to make the situation at the border appear normal. But again, what is happening at the border is nothing but normal as cartel members are now targeting young teens to help them smuggle immigrants across the border.
Known for finding new and unique ways to smuggle children and families across the border, cartel members are now using social media platforms like TikTok to recruit American teenagers. Since Biden beat Donald Trump to become the next President, the border has seen a surge of immigrants racing to get into the United States. But while the Custom and Border Protection have seen record numbers, they are alarmed with how many teenagers are being caught helping cartel members.
According to reports and leaked images on TikTok, cartel members are baiting young teens to help them smuggle families across the border in exchange for cash. And it is by no means a small fee for participating in these illegal activities as some teens are making thousands of dollars for a single trip.
When the job is posted, a teenager will be picked to ferry an individual or family through the checkpoint at the border. If they are able to sneak past the agents, the driver will then escort the immigrants to a predetermined location like a parking lot where another vehicle will be waiting to take the migrants to their final destination. And what does the teen smuggler get for their daring acts – how about $3000.
While creative, this isn’t the first time cartel members have found strange ways to beat the system. Recently, CBP noticed that smugglers would abandon children near the border in hopes that agents would save the kids. While the agents are preoccupied with the children, smugglers would rush to other points of the border, pushing people through.
But remember, even with 172,000 migrants crossing the border in March alone, which is a record, there is in no way a crisis happening as we speak. According to President Biden, the surge is not only normal but is mostly happening due to how nice of a person he is to immigrants.
