The Biden administration is stepping on dangerous ground when it comes to the Second Amendment. If there is any issue that would rouse the sleeping majority in this nation to action it is the right to bear arms.

There are conservative governors who are already taking action to inoculate their states from Biden administration anti-2A measures. But if the administration presses this, if gun confiscation or similar measures pass the Democrat rubber stamp Congress, then the administration and the nation could have on its hands a rebellion that could make January 6th look like a croquet match.

Over two years ago this analyst warned that an incoming leftist presidential administration could provoke a Newtonian Third Law reaction from the nation if it attempted to quash basic constitutional rights. We are near that point. Reasonable people are beginning to question the legitimacy of a federal government that does not abide by the constitution.

Their response may be long in coming. But it could contain in fury what it lacks in alacrity. Biden needs to be careful, very careful, lest he inadvertently does the same thing Admiral Yamamoto said Japan had done to a giant at Pearl Harbor.

FNC: President Biden announced gun control measures on Thursday that an administration official described as an initial set of actions aimed at addressing all forms of gun violence. The president detailed several initiatives to be achieved through a mix of executive and legislative action, the official told reporters. Biden called on the Department of Justice to issue proposed rules to stop the proliferation of so-called ‘ghost guns’ within 30 days. Ghost guns refer to kits that allow the recipient to assemble the firearm using provided parts. These guns do not have commercial serial numbers and are difficult to track.

“The Justice Department will be given 60 days to issue a separate rule on stabilizing braces, which can turn a pistol into a more accurate weapon that fires like a rifle. Sixty days will also be provided for the DOJ to develop model “red flag” legislation that would allow friends and family members to identify an individual as a potential danger, thereby temporarily preventing the person from accessing a firearm. The president also highlighted the steps his administration is taking to invest in community violence interventions and call on the DOJ to issue a firearms trafficking report. The administration official told reporters on Wednesday that Biden is concerned about all forms of gun violence, not only mass shootings but also domestic violence and forms of community violence that disproportionately affect black and brown communities.” Then perhaps those communities should stop shooting each other.

“Gun violence takes lives and leaves a lasting legacy of trauma in communities every single day in this country, even when it is not on the nightly news,” the White House said in a statement. It does, because people shoot other people. Guns do not have independent power of movement and thus cannot fire themselves. This is a simple lesson not lost on the Biden administration. But it must be ignored because an unarmed populace is easier to control. The Founders knew that. Hence, the Second Amendment.
