There’s a certain tipping point in politics that is reached when your friends and opponents smell a wounded animal and go in for the kill. It’s happening to Andrew Cuomo. Gavin Newsom is not far behind.

FNC: “California Gov. Gavin Newsom appeared indoors at a restaurant in a county where indoor dining is not allowed, but the governor’s office has said he did not dine at the restaurant. He was there to meet with the restaurant’s owners, who received a relief grant, Newsom spokesperson Daniel Lopez told Fox News. Newsom posted a video to his TikTok account with celebrity George Lopez talking about where to look for coronavirus vaccine eligibility. Newsom and Lopez were in Fresno, Calif., and are inside Los Amigos restaurant.”

Look at the table. Obviously drinking and likely dining is going on there. Newsom’s sense of entitlement is so pervasive he’s gone back to the same behavior that motivated the recall campaign. As with Cuomo and crude actions towards women, he just can’t help himself.

A staffer with a Republican campaign for governor responded. “Gavin Newsom continues to show that he’s nothing but an incompetent elitist who could care less about California families,” said John Burke, communications director for Kevin Faulconer for Governor. “His failures have crippled our state’s economy and upended the lives of millions of families. We’re going to recall him and begin a California comeback to get our state on track.”

Blood in the water? Ask California Republican congressman Devin Nunes. “The thing to watch for is when the left starts eating their own,” Nunes said at CPAC. “As soon as a prominent Democrat announces that they’re going to run, that’s when it will probably slide and Newsom will have a good chance of actually being recalled.”

In more bad news for Newsom, he now has kid problems. California parents won’t take this well.

FNC: “A group of high school athletes in California filed a lawsuit against Gov. Gavin Newsom Monday to challenge his ban on indoor youth sports during the coronavirus pandemic. The group of five athletes, — a basketball player, a wrestler, a cheerleader, and two volleyball players — jointly filed for a temporary restraining order, with the support of their parents and guardians, in Orange County Superior Court. The lawsuit argues that under the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment, youth sports have been treated unfairly because collegiate and professional indoor sports in the state have been allowed to play.”

“I’ve been watching college volleyball for a while now and it’s frustrating seeing them play cause we’re not able to,” said Elodie Danet, a volleyball player at El Modena High School in Orange. “We’re not able to play the season and have the experience needed for college.” Expect that to end up in a recall political ad. Stick a sushi fork in him. Newsom is almost done.
