There is no denying the fact that former President Donald Trump changed the Republican Party forever when he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016. From numerous smear campaigns to his outlandish style, Trump not only exceeded in politics – he controlled the narrative while restoring the country to its former glory. But with the Democrats now controlling Washington, and Trump’s future uncertain, many are left to wonder who will take up the mantle and become the face of the new Republican Party.

Appearing as a guest speaker on the debut episode of “The Lisa Boothe Show”, President Trump was asked numerous questions about what the future holds for not just him but the Republican Party. The 45th President expressed a certain excitement about the next phase of the Grand Old Party.

“Well, I think we have a lot of people, we have a lot of young good people. Ron DeSantis is doing a really good job in Florida and I think Josh Hawley has shown some real courage in going after Big Tech, you know they go after him. Josh is terrific.”

Another named that was rather surprising to come from Trump was Senator Ted Cruz. He said, “And, you know, somebody that’s been really terrific is Ted Cruz. He and I had it out for a while, actually we were very close. Even during the campaign and then it got nasty, the press would say, ‘When’s the nastiness going to start?’ I said, ‘Don’t worry, it’ll start.’ And then it got very, very you know, rather violent and vicious, but then it simmered down and he’s been great.”

Lastly, Trump added, “And Rand Paul has been great. A lot of people, I mean really a lot of people have been terrific. Sarah Huckabee is going to do great in Arkansas. I think that Kristi Noem has done a terrific job. A lot of very good people, really very good people. The Republican Party is stacked.”

As every interview with the former President goes, Trump was asked about his own name being thrown into the 2024 election.

“I’ll make that decision sometime later, but there’s a pretty deep bench. If you look at the polls. They love the job that I’ve done. We had a 97 percent approval at CPAC and 97 percent approval on policies and different things.”

So while the Democrats are busy trying to keep Biden from breaking a hip, the Republicans are moving away from the past and looking at the future. And even if Trump doesn’t run, the GOP appears to have more than enough leaders to defend the core values of this great country.
