While discussing the sexual harassment claims made against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Thursday’s episode of “The View,” cohost Meghan McCain held nothing back as she branded the Democrat as “a pig and a pervert.”

When asked about the press conference in which Cuomo addressed the allegations, McCain said, “Oh, God. I mean, first of all, he looks like he’s in a hostage video. He’s not even like really apologizing. He looks like a mechanical robot reading. If an old man, a 60-something-year-old man, is asking a 25-year-old woman would you have sex with an older man, what do you think she thinks he’s asking you to talk philosophy?”

“I’m so over Cuomo. I think he’s a pig and a pervert,” she added. “The big scandal is the fact that 15,000 elderly people in nursing homes died on his watch because of a mandate that he executed, and he’s trying to cover it up. I think put a fork in him on all levels.”

“Also Kristen Gillibrand, if, quote, ‘One critical assault claim is enough,’ as you said, as Joy keeps pointing out with Al Franken — why is one claim enough for Brett Kavanaugh and for Al Franken, but it’s not good enough for Cuomo?” McCain said. “You’re real silent, real silent, senator. Got nothing to say about this? I mean, the hypocrisy can last all day. I’m just so over Cuomo.”

McCain was referring to the fact that Behar constantly brings up Al Franken whenever sexual harassment claims against another Democrat come up. Franken, a Democrat, was forced to resign from the Senate back in 2018 after he was hit with sexual misconduct claims that seemingly did not live up to the standards of Behar, who is quick to believe any allegation made against a Republican.

“I mean, the Republican playbook is, let’s hope that this goes away, and let’s not really go into it,” Behar said on Wednesday, referring to how Republicans handle these claims. “So he’s right. We should use the Republican playbook because the Democrats do the opposite.”

“A case in point, Al Franken, Senator Gillibrand, off with his head immediately, you know, he needs to resign, and a lot of Democrats got behind it,” she said. “Now I noticed she’s changed her tune. Now she’s taking the Republican playbook to heart. Well, let’s investigate this time. Let’s see what the allegation comes to.”
