Now we know why Joe Biden’s staff waited so long to risk him in front of the cameras. On Thursday, their worst fears were confirmed, recalling the last year of the presidency of Woodrow Wilson. Biden even had to rely on cheat sheets he carried to answer even the most basic questions. The White House staff must be dumbfounded they got away with it. But as the subservience of the press to Democrats knows no limits, this will be a normal occurrence.

Watch that again. Most media, including FNC, are calling it an attempt at a joke. But observe. When someone makes a joke or tries a witty line they usually pause in the telling and afterwards. This is for comedic timing and to not step on their own joke. Not here. They may smile slightly or have a twinkle in their eye. Not here. When they deliver the line their voice might change a bit to emphasize the punchline. Not here. This analyst, who has watched thousands of hours of political video, is convinced Joe Biden had no idea what he said. None whatsoever. What we saw was a mental vapor lock, a moment when his synapses fired wildly awry. Here’s the way it’s supposed to be done.

Watch that. Notice the set up, the timing, the pause before delivery, and the smile afterwards. This was during a 1984 presidential debate against Walter Mondale and Reagan was dealing with a hostile question from a hostile reporter. Facing all that, the Gipper hit it out of the park, getting roars of laughter from the audience and also getting laughs from Mondale and the reporter.

Now compare to the Biden video above where there is no pause, no comic timing, no smile and Biden was facing a lapdog press throwing him softballs. He still cracked. The left will never admit it, but Joe Biden had no idea what he was saying.

In related news, at the news conference Biden refused to take responsibility for the crisis at the border even though the numbers have skyrocketed since he took office. He commented, “First of all, all the policies that were underway were not helping at all, did not slow up the amount of immigration. Rolling back the policies of separating children from their mothers? Make no apology for that…Rolling back the policies of ‘Remain in Mexico,’ sitting on the edge of the Rio Grande in a muddy circumstance with not enough to eat? I make no apologies for that. I make no apologies for ending programs that did not exist before Trump became president that have an incredibly negative impact on the law — international law — as well as on human dignity.” Also, no apologies to American taxpayers who are funding his beneficence to foreign law breakers while Americans sleep on the streets. He even admits he wants them here, not on the other side of the Rio Grande in Mexico.

On keeping children in cages and detaining families? “Some families are not going back because Mexico is refusing to take them back. (Gee, what a surprise! -dk) Some, not all. We’re in negotiations with Mexico. That’s going to change. They should all be going back,” Biden said. But that will go nowhere, as it doesn’t fit in the general plan to flood battleground states with illegal voters. So here we have it. A man who thinks he’s been in the senate for over a century and who desperately wants illegals on this side of the Rio Grande. And it’s only about two months into his administration. What unmitigated joys await us…
